The game was terrible in comparison to the rest of the games, but alone it was alright minus the re-spawn system. It completely killed any challenge the game would have had left, and left you with a game that wasn't even shelf-worthy, let alone Spyro-worthy, (A series that at the time, was renowned for being extremely difficult)
For those of you who don't know or forgot,
When you die in ANB, you re-spawn at a check-point further back, all the monsters you killed stay dead, the only difference is the monsters you didn't kill come back to full health. Nothing else, not even a statistic on how many times you died at the end of the game, its like nothing happened. Its almost the same with bosses too.
