This starts at the end of DOTD only Spyro and Cynder haven't got back yet.

The two flew down into a strange forest. They where looking for the dragon city when it started to rain. ''We better find shelter'' said Spyro. "Look, we can go into that cave" said Cynder. Spyro ran into it but as he tried to get in, an invisible wall stopped him. "Huh?". He tried again but the same happened. Inside he could see a shadow and a bit of blue light. A strange yet familier dragon was there. He looked like the chronicler only somehow different. The dragon looked at Spyro and Cynder. The invisible wall went down and a familier voice said "Spyro?". Spyro and Cynder went in. Cynder was looking at him funny. There was a long silence and then Spyro said "Ignitus?" The dragon smiled. "Yes". Cynder just stood there, half-puzzled but half-happy. Spyro said "Y....Your the chronicler?" "Yes". "I have been watching you ever since you passed through the belt of fire" Cynder wasn't listening, she was looking at an open book with pictures of dragons in it, including Spyro.Ignitus noticed Cynder looking at it. Spyro began looking as well. "Your wondering what this is?" he asked? Spyro nodded. "This book contains legends of different dragons that I have known, including yours Spyro.It has yours aswell Cynder." "Who is the white one?" Asked Spyro. "Yea I thought they where extinct?" Ignitus' smile went down a little. "Not all of them" "What do you mean?" asked Spyro. "It's a long story".

" It all started when there was only one group of white dragons left. They where awaiting the birth of a special dragon, a star crested. They where not as rare as you Spyro but they where not far behind. When she was born they named her Stardust. She spent a year with them but never liked her life. She was always being talked about and didn't really like her name. One day a black dragon named Shadow came. He was the one who killed all the other white dragons. He killed them all except Stardust who had escaped, just barely. She ran away from there and never went back. She was alone for three days. She changed her name to Laura as she wanted a simpler name. After the three days she could not walk any more and collapsed on the ground. She was not too far from the temple and I found her. I took her back to the temple and she told me what had happened. Eventually she ended up staying at the Temple as there was no-where else for her to go. She stayed for a while untill they came." The day I rescued your egg and when they took Cynder's. She was taken with the others although she was too young to power a crystal. Instead she was taken to a prison camp of Shadow's. He didn't plan to kill her though." "

"Because at the time I could not find out where she was and I could not send you out as she could be anywhere. "So how do you know she is still alive?" "After I became Chronicler I looked back at the belt of fire and saw my body outside of the fire. Next to it was a mark on the ground. It was a picture of a star. Now as i'm Chronicler I could locate her." "So you want us to find her?" "There is no need and he indicated a small white shape in the far corner reading a book."I already have". The dragon looked up. She hadn't noticed them as she was busy reading. She walked over. She had a silver necklace with golden stars on. She had a crest simmiler to Spyro's only all yellow. A yellow star shined on her right shoulder. She had two horns and blue eyes.
