Nice, FF i see. But Media-convert is a quick process, and you oly need to knows how to click a few things and type in numbers.

How long dose it take?

Less than a minute usually

If you wanna MAKE an avatar, then open MS Paint.

GIMP can make avatars.

VirtualDUB can create animated ones from Youtube videos. (Advanced)

UNFREEz can take pictures and compile them to GIF.

MSPaint can resize and... You can draw on them.

MS paint , photoshop , Gimp , open canvas mabe .

Pretty much the same with Photobucket...just takes only a few clicks. There are default resizing options (like 100x100) or you could manually resize the image. I use Photobucket mainly to upload pictures; the additional features are just a bonus.
