Since there is a lot of Ember fans out there, it's time to create Ember's own story! Yay! Iam a huge Ember fan, and i think she deserves it.


Chapter 1
WarFang was clouded with smoke as dragons howled their grief and rage. Ember's father, Claw, battled the grublins furiously, detrmined to protect his family.
"Ember, you must go now, save yourself!" Amy, Ember's mother, urged.
"No! I won't leave you!" Ember wailed.
"Ember, Malefor's forces are coming. We can hold them off. Your just a hatchling. Now go!" Amy said, pain in her voice.
"But what if i never see you again?" Ember cried.
"I promise to see you again. I will always love you. But for now, you can't stay. Go!" Amy said, kissing her daughter for what might be the last time.
"Bye, mother." Ember choked and ran out the back door. The back alley was abandoned, thank goodness. Ember went down the back alley and to the right. She found a ladder still stacked against an old building. Ember climbed up the ladder and scanned the area. Then a screech warned Ember.A traitor dragon breathed earth magic on Ember.
"Yikes!" Ember squeaked and jumped out of the way. The earth attack left the house in ruins.

What is PC supposed to mean?????????????????????????Oh, well.

Ember landed in a dumpster and quickly got out.
Ugh! Time to start over. Ember thought. shaking the garbage off of her. This time she ran as fast as she could through the back alley untill she reached the street. Another traitor dragon hissed at her and lunged.
"Yeep!" Ember squealed and dodge out of the way. The dragon growled threatinly and lunged again. Ember easily dodged again and bit the dragon's tail. The dragon screeched in irratation and breathed fire on Ember. Ember rolled out of the fire's way and climbed up on an abandoned restraunt. She jumped off and glided away.
This is hopeless, she'll evantulay catch me. Ember thought.
But the dragon didn't chase her, instead she roared her annoyance. Ember looked over her shoulder and chocked in horror. One half of the dragon's wing was ripped off, the other wing was gone completeley. Ember landed on another building when a group of grublins surronded her. Ember hissed and batted at the grublin, but it didn't hurt him. The grublin's laughed mockingly and hit Ember on the head, hard.
Everything swirled around and grew fainter and fainter. The last thing Ember heard was a dragon killing the grublinsand shouting, "Get away from her!"
Before evrything went dark.

Ember wandered in the howling darkness. Wake up, Ember, wake up, A voice called. Ember was startled and woke up at once.
"ahh!" She screamed and jumped in the air, slapping a hatchling in the face. The hatchling squeaked and tumbled over a group of hatchlings. The hatchlings spilled lemonade all over Nanny. The nanny accidently fell over right on top of another hatchling. The other hatchlings paniced and ran around the room, screaming.
"Settle down, children!" Nanny cried and ran after the hatchlings to calm them down. Thirty minutes later everything was cleaned up and back to normal.
"Where am i?" Ember wondered.
"This is the Dragon Orphanage. All of these young dragons came from Warfang on the raid last night, just like you." Nanny said.
"Will i get to go back to ma and pa?" Ember asked enthuisastically. Nanny's expression darkened.
"No, it's not safe there anymore." Nanny said grimly. Obiously she didn't tell the other ones, because this time another asked the question.
"Why not? If our parents drove them out, why isn't it safe?" A hatchling said. Nanny hesitated before answering.
"Because they didn't drive them out. Malefor's forces took over." Nanny sighed. All the dragons gasped.
"But it's our home. We can't hand it over."A black hatchling wailed.
"We can't do anything about it now. This orphanage will be your home now. And there is not enough rooms for you to all have your own. 3 dragons will share one room. So go off and find your rooms." Nanny said.

PC!!!

Ember couldn't belive it. Malefor took over the city! She knew most of the hatchlings here hatched in Warfang. All the young dragons looked sad as they got up and left the room. Ember got up and went back down the main hall. She climbed a flight of stairs and came to a wide hallway. She came to a window and a door next to it.
Ember opened the door and entered. It was a medium sized room. A huge bed lay beside the left corner of the room and a trunk stood at the end of the bed. There was a closet by the entry door and a window was on the right wall. Ember opened the closet to see lots of blankets, towles, sweaters, buttons, wool, thread, pillows, and stuffing all orginized in boxes. Ember opened the trunk to find quilts with all kinds of patterns and a teddy bear.

Ember heard footsteps outside the room.
"Hello?" A voice said. Ember turned around to see the black hatchling she saw earlier along with a green hatchling. The green dragon had a brown under belly and yellow horns. The horns grew horizantally and curved. Her tail tip looked like an arrowhead and she had sky blue eyes. Her muzzle was in the shape of an eagle's beak.
The black one had sliver horns that grew strait. Her eyes were pale green. Two smaller horns grew on both sides of her face. Hert wings and underbelly were red and her tailtip looked like a knife with a piece cut off. Her muzzle was also in the shape of a eagle's beak.
"Iam Fern. this is Cynder. Can we move in with you?" Fern asked.
"Sure! Come on in!" Ember said.

Cynder?! Where's Spyro? *Cynder says nothing* WHERE IS HE?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Eye twitches*

"Iam Ember." Ember said.
"Nice to meet you." Fern said poilitely. Cynder looked around the room and in the closet.
"Why would we need so many blankets?" Cynder wondered.
"Because in the North Forests, it can get very cold at night. Haven't you ever been here before?" Fern explained.
"Well, no. My family couldn't afford vacations." Cynder admitted.
"Were in The North Forests?" Ember echoed.
"Yup. There's lots of landmarks around here i can remeber from camping here." Fern said proudly and puffed out her chest.
Just then a bell ringed downstairs. The three hatchlings scampered down the stairs and into the room where the sound was coming from. It was the kithen and a full cooked meal was waiting for them.
"Hello, girls, your the first to arrive. Help yourselves." Nanny said.
A turkey along with mashed patatoes was a part of the menu. Strawberry smoothies and milk were the bevarages and salad and bread were on the side. Slices of cheese and crackers were served on a plate along with peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches. Choclate-chip cookies and apple pie was at the end of the table for dessert. Ember just started to fill her plate when the others came. A red hatchling bumped ahead of Ember and took all the peanut and jelly sandwiches.
"Hey!Give those back!" Ember growled.
"Make me. In fact,i'll take someof yours." He snarled and gobbled up everything on Ember's plate.
"Hey! Stop that!" Ember hissed.
"Yeah right." The red dragon said and hopped on the table, throwing the pie in her face. The other boy dragons laughed at her as Ember startedc to lose her temper.
"That's it!" Ember shrieked and fire flared out of Ember's mouth and burned the hatchling. Ember's mouth dropped, even though fire wasn't coming out anymore.
[i]What just happened?[/i She wondered. The hatchling shreiked and ran to the sink and the fire hissed before it died.
Nanny, who was in the other room, rushed in.
"What is going on here!?" She fumed.
"Flame was taking all of Ember's food and threw a pie in her face, and then she breathed fire on him!" Cynder explained.
"Flame! You should be ashamed of yourself." Nanny scolded.
"But what about Ember? She burned me alive!" Flame complained.
"Well, every dragon must awaken their element inside them. They only earn their element when they get very angry. Flame, if you havn't been harrsing Ember, it wouldn't have happened. Now I was going to let evrybody play outside, but Flame, you will not be joining them. Instead you will clean up the mess you have made and apoligize to Ember."Nanny said.
"No fair!" Flame wailed.
Nanny ignored Falme's whining.
"Everybody can go outside and play now. When i call you back in, a new meal will be prepared." Nanny said and shot a scornfull look at Flame.


Don't worry, Spyro will appear in the next part.

Yes!!

The sun glowed brightly in the sky but the wind made it cold outside. Ember crawled through the grass and pounced on Fern.
"Hey! I'll get you for that!" Fern growled playfully and chased Ember. They raced through the grass untill Fern tumbled on a tree root and landed on Ember. They rolled down a hill and tore through the plants. When they rached the bottom they were covered in dirt. Ember shook herself, sending dirt flying everywhere.
"Hey!" Fern said.
"Shh."Ember said and raised her wing to her ear hole. Crying echoed through the forest.
"It sounds like another dragon! Hurry!" Ember said and dashed through the soil with Fern close behind.

Ember raced toward the sound, skipping over tree roots and ducking under low tree branches. Fern was close behind, but having a hard time keeping up. Ember stopped at a cliff by a small waterfall. Fern bumped into her. They both looked up to see a tree right beside the base of the waterfall. It's roots were exposed, hanging over the waterfall. And a purple hatchling was clining to the roots, wailing in distress!
"Help! I can't hold on much longer!" The hatchling wailed,and as he spoke the roots began to snap under his weight.
"We have to do something!" Ember said.
"But what should we do?" Fern asked. Ember didn't answer. Instead she leaped into the tree with the exposed roots. She grabbed a vine and offered it to the hatchling.
"Here, grab this!" Ember shouted. The hatching looked up and noticed her for the first time. The hatchling jumped and grabed the vine with his teeth just as the roots snapped! Ember pulled the vine, but it wouldn't budge.
How much does this dragon weigh? Ember thought. Soon the vine snapped and the hatchling fell. Quick as lightning, Ember raced to the edge of the cliff and grabbed the hatchling's paw. The hatchling tried to climb up the cliiff as Ember pulled and finnaly, te hacthling was onthe top of the cilff, safe.
"Iam Ember. What's your name?" Ember panted.
"My name's Spyro." The hatchling said.

Cool!
*Pushes Ember, Fern, and Spyro off the cliff*
Muahahahhaaaaaaa!!!!!
Wait, is Spyro already in the Dragon orphenage?

Sorry for the lack of updates. I had minor writer's block.

'I've never seen you before." Fern said.
"Well, It's a long story." Spyro said standing up to reveal many scars and cuts along him. Some were reopened and bleeding and some were infected.One of his horns were halfly cut off. Spyro tried to walk, but winced in pain.
"Here. Your in no shape to walk. We'll help you." Ember said and let Spyro lean on her shoulder.
"Thanks." Spyro wheezed. They walked back to the orpahnage as fast as the injured Spyro could limp. Once they came in sight of the home, Fern shouted; "NANNY!"
Nanny came running out at once.
"My goodness!" She excalimed once she saw Spyro. She picked up Spyro and rushed back into the orphanage. All the hacthlings followed Nanny.
"What happened?" Cynder asked.
"We found him hanging over the edge of a waterfall and we rescued him." Ember said.
"I don't need rescuing!" Spyro hissed and stood up defensively, then collapsed on the floor again. He breathed fast and shallow and Ember spotted a wound on his side she never noticed before. Ember gasped in horror.
The wound was very deep and bleeding, all his scales around the wound were stained with blood. Purple sparks buzzed in the wound every five seconds.
"It's just what I feared.." The Nanny whispered to herself and opened a cupboard. She grabed a empty bottle and shook her head. she put the bottle back and slamed the cupboard shut.
"What's wrong, Nanny?"A blue hacthling named Spark asked.
"It's a very seroius wound that only one other dragon can inflict," Nanny said. All the hatchlings gasped.
How can a dragon cause a wound like this? Ember wondered.
"And there is only one cure for it,, maple syrup." Nanny said.
"That's it? Then why don't we just go out to the nearst maple tree?" Flame suggested.
"Not just any maple syrup. It's golden with healing magic in it. There's only one kind of tree that makes that syrup, and it is in Autumn Plains. It is fifty days away, but if Spyro will die within thiry days without it." Nanny annouced grimly.
"I'll go." Ember said and all of the dragons turned to look at her.
"I'll go to Autumn Plains and get that syrup and come back within thirty days. I now I can travel fast enough. I can't watch a dragon die." Ember speeched.
"Well, okay. But you can't go alone. Any volunteers?" Nanny said.
All the hatchlings looked at eachother nervously.
"We will go with her." Ember turned around to see Fern and Cynder raise their right wing. Ember smiled. She was glad she didn't have to do this alone.Iam so lucky to have two loyal friends. She thought.
"Okay. Now I need to give you a quick training session if you are going to survive." Nanny said and led them outside.

After the training session Nanny sat on a log.
"Now there is something you need to know, eve though I think you are too young to know." Nanny said slowly.
"What?" Ember,Cynder and Fern asked at the same time.
"You all know Malefor already. He is a purple dragon, and has powers beyond anyone's imagineation. He took over Warfang for a reason, to find the next purple dragon and capture him. Then he would corrupt that dragon to do his dirtywork to take over the rest of the world. I wouldn't be suprised if he sent some of his soilders to search this orphanage. So when you come back, Do NOT come into the building. Look into the window, and see if Spyro is still there. If he isn't run away as fast as you can." Nanny said.
"Wait. If only Malefor can inflict that wound Spyro has, that means," Ember said.
"Yes. Malefor tried to injure Spyro so he could take him away. But somehow, he got away. Now, you must go, not much time is left. Take this compass and head north." Nanny said and handed the compass. Cynder took the compass and Fern led the way.
"I've been in these woods before, I know the quickest way out." Fern said.
Quest 1 begins,,,

The Quest to save Spyro!

Soon the clouds blocked the afternoon sun and it began to rain.
"Great. Just what we need." Cynder groaned as she splashed through the puddles. Ember didn't reply.
Could this be a bad omen? Ember wondered. the rain continued as it grew darker and darker outside. Ember shivered because of the cold weather, and spotted a hollow log.
"It's getting late. We should rest in that log." Ember said and pointed with her wing. The others were too tired to respond. Instead they moved into the hollow log and settled down for the night. Ember wrapped her wing around her eyes and slept.
Birdsong woke Ember the next morning. She streched and looked out of the log. The sun made the forest glisten where the rainwater still was and the air smelled sweet. The sun was high in the sky.
We better get going. She thought as she called the others.

PC!!!

Mud surronded the shores of a creek. Cattails grew out of the murky water. Ember, Fern and Cynder stood over a steep cliff over the creek. When Ember looked down, all she saw was the water lurking at the bottom. Ember shivered at the thought of falling in. The other side he soil looked loose and the roots of bushes stuck out.
"To get to Autmn Plains, We'll have to cross this Creek and head west," Fern said.
Ember groaned softly. Ever since she went to the ocean for a family vacation she hated water. When she was swimming in the salt water a huge shark tried to drag her down. She still remembered it as clear as if it was yesterday. The sharp teeth,The waves washing over her head, her lungs ready to burst,
"Ember!" Cynder's call made Ember jump.
"Come on. Were going to cross over that fallen tree." Cynder said and pointed with her tail.
"Right." Ember said softly.

PC!!!

Cynder crossed the tree with ease. Fern was a little more catious, as she got to the center the tree creaked, then she scampered the rest of the way.
"Now you can cross,Ember!" Fern called.
Ember breathed deeply and tiptoed across the tree. She was just about to get to the other side when a deer scampered across the meadow, alarmed by something. A bear roared through the branches. It was browinsh black and has enourmus paws. It wore a gold helment and has a sliver fang. It was as big as a a ape. It roared and lunged at Cynder.
"EKK!" Cynder screeched. Ember ran towrd the scene and jumped on the bear. She sunk her teeth into it's shoulder. The bear moaned as if it didn't hurt him at all and shook Ember off. The bear swiped Fern and held her by the scruff in his teeth. The bear ran away with Fern.
"LET GO OF ME YOU FREAK!" Fern screamed and swung wildly. Cynder and Ember charged after the bear. All o th sudden a ape came out of no where and attacked the bear. The bear roared and dropped Fern. Fern ran back to her friends.
"Are you okay!?" Cynder asked.
"Iam fine." Fern said. Then a group of apes came out and also attacked the bear. One noticed the hacthlings and pointed at them, hooting widly. The apes swung a net over the hacthlings.
"Let m take care of this." Ember said. Ember breathed fire on the net and quickly got it off. The three hacthlings swung the net back on the apes. The apes caught on fire and now were running towrd the creek, howling in pain.
"Let's get out of here!" Fern rasped and the hacthlings bolted westward, and didn't stop running for what seemed like miles.

Sorry for the delay.

They ran for as long as they could untill they collapsed in a heap, gasping for breath.
"That was close." Cynder panted.
"Still, we have to keep moving. We never know if they might come after us." Fern said. As the hacthlings dragged on, the trees grew farther and farther away from eachother.
"We must be reaching the outskirts of The North Forest." Ember said, looking up at the setting sun.
"Good. The North Forest is huge, and we got out in two days. We need to keep this pace if were going to make it back before, before," Cynder couldn't finish her sentence.
Ember nodded in agreement. She had almost forgot the reason for their journey. But they needed to remeber, so they made it back in time.
"Well, we travveld very far today. We need to rest. We need to get up early in the morning." Fern advised and led the way into a tree. Ember climbed the tree carefully and curled up on a large branch and sleep washed over her.

"Ember. Ember, wake up. It's important." Cynder whispered. Ember woke up to find only the first rays of the sun broke over the horizon. The rest of the forest was pretty dark. Fern was still asleep and raindrops splashed gently over the hatchlings.
It must have rained last night. Ember thought.
"Apes are patrolloing the area, looking for us. We need to get moving if we aren't going to get caught." Cynder whispered. Realizing the danger, Ember nodded and woke up Fern. The hatchlings carefully got out of the tree and crawled through the undergrowth. they stopped when an ape seemed to stare right at them. Then the ape moved on, leaving them behind. Ember cautiously looked around at her friends. Then she saw a button ahead.
"Lo-" Beofre Ember could say anything else something snapped and Ember was swept off her paws! Rope tangled Ember as she tried to escape.
"It's a trap!" Cynder squealed. Ember looked around to see that her friends were caught too. The apes looked down at them and hooted in truimph. Ember grolwed and tried to lunge, but her back legs were all tangled up. then the apes attacked and hit Ember hard on the head. Everything went dark as Ember went limp.

Ember woke up with a spilting headache. Ember groaned and tried to stand up, but her legs wouldn't support her. She fell back sown and looked around. The wooden walls were strong and sturdy and it was very dark. Only a few rays of sunlight shined through the roof. Ember was still tangled in the net.
Cynder groaned next to her.
"What happened?" Cynder moaned.
"The apes caught us." Ember reminded her. Fern was last to wake up and was closest toa window. She looked out of the window.
"We must be on a ship, because there's water everywhere." Fern said. Ember crawled to the nearest window and looked out of it. She was right. Even though the shore was visible. Then the roof opened and a few apes entered.
They hooted and squaked in a langauge the dragons didn't understnad and served breakfast. Breakfast was more fancy then the hatchlings expected.
The apples were fresh and not rotten. The pancakes were blueberry and were not plain and burnt. The milk was cold and refeshing and not solifeid. And the muffins were fresh out of the oven, not stale. The hatchlings ate hungrliy and soon the food was all gone.
"Good. You will need you're strengh up for when we get to our destination." A voice said.
The voice belonged to a tall red dragon that stood on two legs. He carried a spehere with a purple gem on top and had purple wings. His underbelly was yellow and his breath smelled like cabbage and rotten eggs.
"My name is Red. You may call me Genaral Red, though." He said slowly.
"Why should we listen to you?" Fern grolwed.
"Because, you are under command of Malefor now. Even though he's not here. You will listen to me untill we reach Warfang." Red said, his voice as cold as winter. the hacthlings were alarmed.
"We'll never serve you, or that baffon!" Ember screeched and lunged, but forgot she was still tangled in the net. The hacthlings grolwed and tried to attack, but the net held them back.
"Apes! Knock the drgaons out again and put them in chains!" Red commaned. The apes were on them again like flys. The air all of the sudden was misty and Ember coughed. Then Ember collapsed again.

Two days later,,

When Ember woke up it was very cold. Ember shivered and wrapped her wings around herself. She crawled under some empty patato sacks. Then the door opened again. Another hacthling was thrown into the room and put in chains.
"Stay there, and don't get any ideas." Red growled. The hacthling grolwed as they left. Ember cralwed out of the patato sack. His form and horn style were the same as Spyro's, so Ember geussed it was a boy. His horns and underbelly were yellow and he was his scales were sand colured. He had red stripes down his back and had yellow crests. His eyes were as green as a summer leaf.
"Hello." Ember said shyly. The sandy coloured hacthling whipped his head around.
"Iam Ember. And you?" Ember said gently.
"My name is Lester." The hacthling said in a deep voice.
Cynder and Fern then cautously came out of their hiding places.
"Where do you come from?" Cynder asked.
"Were in Winter Tundra, and so do I live here." Lester answered.
"You're parents must be worried." Ember said. Lester glared at Ember.
I can take care of myself. He seemed to be saying.
"My parents won't worry about anything any more. There dead. They were crushed by falling rocks." Lester said.
"How long ago?" Fern asked sympithecitally.
"Yesterday." Lester said. For the first time his voice hinted sadness.
"Now it's you're turn for twenty questions. Who are you?" Lester said.
"You already know me. Iam Ember. And these are my friedns Fern and Cynder." Emebr said, pointing to each dragon with her tail.
"How original. Why are you here?" Lester asked.
"Well, are friend got seirously injured, and there's only one cure for it. So we have to get to Autmn Plains, then we got kidnapped, and here we are." Fern explained.
Before Lester could ask another question, they heard voices.
"We nned more recriuts sir, to mmet Malefor's demands." One voice said. Ember tried to get closer to the voices, but her chains prevnted her.
"Yes. There's a village in the next world, Crystal Glacier. Well pretend were selling patatoes, they love pataotes in Crystal Glacier, then we attack and take many dragons as we can." Genaral Red planned.
"Good. Well invade tommorow." The other voice said.

"Did you hear that?" Lester said.
"Yeah, the prison cell isn't going to seem room anymore." Fern said. Lester slapped her.
"No, you idoit! It's the perfect oppritnity to escape! We can hide in the patato sacks untill we can get out. When they attack we can be ready and drive them off." Lester planned. Emebr's eyes shone as he spoke. Finnaly the chance to be free!
