Yup, it is what makes this game so awsome.
I love Spyro 3 and 2 (I preffer the third, anyway) but this Spyro is the most "beautifull" of them all. Nice level designs, nice story... This Spyro and the third are the best in my opinion.

Yep, I agree. And this is my fav Spyro game ever!!!

1,2 and 3 are awesome! 4 is evil's new name. 5 is my most fave. 6 is overboard with combat but still good. 7 haven't played yet!

I completely agree. I can't decide whether I like Spyro 3 or Spyro 1 better.

It's not my fav game, but I like it because it's a classic and it makes me feel nostalgic as well as the other Spyro games for PS1.

Well, it was creative all right, but I like Spyro 2 better for some reason. I like Spyro 2 more than Spyro 3, but I don't know why.

I could understand that a new person like you may put EtD as bad, but just venture round the EtD board a bit and you'll change your mind.

YES i agree. spyro 1 and 3 are the best spyro games ever created! to bad insomniac games stopped making them though.

ONE of my faves. I actually enjoyed all of the Spyro's a lot except for ETD and GtG/RR.

But Spyro the Dragon always had some of the best levels and was really fun.

I wish they kept using themes with the levels and homeworlds.

I loved how they desined Stone Hill. You could go on top of the level! And the awesome "no drowning" glitch!!!

I would have to rate the the 1st game as my favorite. For me, it just had that magical spark that makes me love a game. The level designs, music, characters, just the perfect combination of ingredients. For me, very few games have that spark. The only other ones that compare for me are Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

I agree. The best level designs are in the Magic Crafters, and Dream Weavers home worlds.

I actually think the graphics on this game is a lot beter than the graphics on Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! Spyro the Dragon is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better!

I agree. Spyro moves at a slightly faster framerate (from what I can see he moves more freely). As soon as I get my laptop I bought, I will put this game on it

How do you get to the no drwning glitch?

Start a new game, go directly to Stone Hill, now get hit 3 times so that Sparx disappears. Now go to the 'Return Home' Vortex, NOT killing the last ram before it, and position yourself infront of the trapped dragon, being careful not to free it, and face the ram. When it next charges at you, let it hit and it will knock you into the statue, freeing it. After the scene, you'll have 0 hitpoints but be alive. Go see what happens on the ram. Let it charge you. It will hit you but Spyro will not react and you will live. Invincibility! Go try it out on enemies and watch and laugh as they fail miserably to kill you. Kill a sheep, to see that Sparx does not return and the butterfly goes freely. Now for the water. Glide into the water at the back, and you'll continue to fly over it! Surf along the water having fun. Just don't crash, or you'll fall contuinuosly above the water and can only flame. You can't even pause or enter your inventory, it won't work. The only way to restore the Invincibility is to reset. Also try charging and jumping onto the water. This works on most levels in the game, as long as they have a dragon with an enemy that attacks nearby. And that isn't the only type of glitch in the game...

Oh, and YotD is still my favourite.

The graphics in Spyro 2 & 3 are good but the level design makes it feel more...isolated compared to Spyro 1. The level design was more expanded without the terrain blocking the beautiful looking sky.

I LOVE the original Spyro game more than any of them! It's just so charming. Not to mention that Spyro in this game is so adorable I just wanna take him home with me.

That reminds me of an idea I had recently for a game that I called "The Unstoppable Spyro". It was basically a remake... it had everything that StD has... PLUS.

I totaly agree in this. The levels are so beautifull! The great, colorfull skys, the castles... It's just... hm... I can't find the right word.

I desperately miss the kind of creativity that was in the old Spyro games. The character design was brilliant, the levels were fun and bright, the music was great, and the characters didn't constantly break the fourth wall (*glares at AHT and LoS, especially Sparx*). You could get caught up in the stories and the worlds and just have some good, old fashioned fun.

It seems to me that STD used the biggest number of different panoramas, and has the best music. And it also looks VERY cozy/warm/familiar/whatever. You have the least abilities in this game, but it differs from all other games mostly, while GTG was more similar to YotD.
