If there would be both--then Both for me. StD will be my favorite no matter what!

Depends on what types of games you're looking for.
I like both equally...which isn't much, really.

Well, its sorter obvious on what everyone is going to say to you shouldn't really bother on making these topics. Off course, people are going to say that TLOS is the best and then they would wright something saying that the orignals suck. >.>

Well, the original ones were very attractive in the variety of things you could do. By originals, I mean Spyro 1, 2 (Ripto's Rage/Gateway to Glimmer) and 3 (Year of the Dragon). They had great music, fun platforming and a variety of mini-games. Well, at least in the latter of the games.

The Legend series on the other hand has a much more mature, dark theme, a definite story and very strong music. Though the repetitive gameplay is what brings it down. Find enemy, beat up, flame and go.

I liked DoiD the best. TEN and ANB both felt like being on a racetrack, I like the room of wandering around though. I havn't played the origionals yet but currently on ETD. Legend is better by a longshot.

The LoS is my fav! I like Spyro better there. Cynder and Ignitus is also a factor why i like LoS!

I love the original Spyro games, but my favorite was Dawn of the Dragon.

LOL! I have a lot of respect for the originals! The graphics, at the time, where wonderful! I still love them!!

If you play ETD, then of course you will think TLOS pwns. ETD was a bad game, full off glitches. You need to play STD, GTG and YOTD to like the originals.

Arrgh, If I get enough funding I'll get to that. Origionals are always fun. Do you think they'll come out on PC or for Wii?

I like both. But I love the TLOS! My fave orginal Spyro game would have to be... Spyro A Hero's Tail. Cause you get to play as Ember and Flame. My fave Legend Of Spyro game would be...DOTD!

Same here. AHT is my fave original Spyro game and DOTD is my fave TLOS game. DOTD hasn't got that much button mashing in it so thats why I like it. AHT was a great game, the best Spyro game IMO. If TLOS would off had lest button mashing, I would of loved it and it would off been difficult to chose....

The main MAIN reason I think the originals pwn TLOS is because I have been with them since 2000 (I liked Spyro since I was four!).

I don't like people doing that either. My favourite game was AHT, I could point out whats good about it for years. My favourite TLOS game was ANB.

well......they completeley stopped the original sreies,got all the fans sad..........then...in dotd,when they got attached to the legend series........they open up the game manual and it says "the legend concludes" i think they should suprise the fans and make additional legend games after the movie before we all remember why we had those extra pitchforks!

I liked A New Beginning on DS a lot, but all the other games I played were pants. Still, I may get the PS2 version of TEN one day since I keep seeing it really cheap and I have a mega PS2 collection now.

I prefer original series. My favourite game is A Hero's Tail followed by Shadow Legacy, but I do like the originals also. Gateway to Glimmer is a great game but I dont have the other two.

I loved dragons since I was three! I only heard about Spyro when I was nine.

I heard about Spyro when I was about nine or ten, and saw the first commercial for the first games too. =\

Of course, all that I could afford was hand-me-down games at pawn shops for the N64, SNES, and Commodore 64...

I like the legend of spyro series more because of the better graphics more interesting story line and the new characters ignitus and cynder made it more fun!!!!!

Well, I like both.

At the original series, I liked the characters. There were a varied number of them. And a lot of them were fun.

Also, I got amused by the fact that you can explore the areas whenever you can!

At the "The Legend Of" series, I still liked the characters, but...

But what made me very attracted to those series is the gameplay. Instead of just exploring the areas, you had a lot of action. And also, a little drama was there.

Also, one of the characters turned very funny. You know who I'm referring to. Sparx! His comments are funnier than ever.

Also, the special effects and the powers... And let's not forget about the graphics.

But still, I like both the series.
