In the beginning there was a young Dragon called Malefor. He was the first purple Dragon. He was trained by the Dragon Elders of the Elements the Purple Dragon had. But Malefor got tireless. Darkness consumed him, and he forever Consumed the Dragon Powers. Until he was exiled from Dragon Society, never to return. He hid out in the Mountains, building a Army and a plan of Revenge. He taught the Apes how to harness the Power of the Gems, the Dragons Life Force. For years the Dragons were at war against Malefor and his Army. When things looked on the bright side for the Dragons, Malefor unleashed his Secret Weapon, Cynder. The Dragon Guardians of Fire, Ice, Electricity and Earth kept the Dragon eggs safe, after all it was the Year of the Dragon and the Dragon's survival depended on those eggs. The Dark armies attacked teh Temple and destroyed all the eggs. Except one. The Fire Guardian, Ignitus, let the egg float down the Silver Stream where the Dragon baby was Adopted by a family of Dragonflies. Spyro the Dragon grew up alongside Sparx until the fate of the world rested in his hands. He tried to stop Cynder ressurecting the Dark Master, but he was too late. Malefor's soul was free, but only on the Night of Eternal Darkness. Spyro went to the Well of Souls, Mount Malefor, to stop him coming back for real. But Malefor took over Spyro and killed Gaul. After that Cynder saved Spyro from becoming Malefor's servant. But as the mountain collapsed, Spyro froze himself, Cynder and Sparx in Crystal for Three long years, when after that Spyro defeated Malefor for good.

Twelve Years Later...

Spyro sat in the Dragon City Warfang. Next to him a Black Dragon with Emerald Green eyes, Cynder, sat smiling. And beside them was Sparx, who was chasing some butterflies.
'Come here you tasty little...' Sparx said in a low tone as he snuck up on the Butterflies. Spyro turned to him.
'Sparx, knock it off.' Spyro said. 'You don't know where they've been!'
'I do!' Sparx grinned.
'Where then?' Spyro asked.
'On the grass, in the air, on buildings, on those shiney Golden Dragon Statues... buddy, you pick it up.' One of the butterflies escaped. 'Darn! There goes my Lunch!' Cynder gave a small Hiccup of laughter. Its not funny!' Cynder just carried on laughing.
'Sorry, it is a bit!' Cynder laughed. But suddenly the ground shook violnetly.
