Maybe you should be able to block certain posts, or posts from certain people in topics.

So, where it has that person's post, it says: "[You have blocked this post. Unblock.]"
Or something like that, anyway. It could be useful if there's a certain post, or person you don't want to listen to.

Well, the posts can be invisible to the user (such as PHPBB3's "Friends and Foes" feature).

i don't think it's a good idea...
if you don't like someone ignore them... just as easy as that

i would like to inform evryone i made a topic about this some time ago it was deinnided my love i thought it sounded god but when i heard the down sides i thought best if we dont do it

What about this idea;

They can post but only you can't see what there posting. So basicly, they can post in your topics and stuff, but if you block that user, then only YOU can't see there post but everyone else can.

I think blocking posts entirely is going too far. It might actually promote ignorance of certain members against other members. (e.g. "I hate Shenzi blablabla I'll ignore all of her posts forever because I'll assume she'll never have anything good to say in my eyes etc.")
