a few years ago, a person named FranklyGD created a tool called spyroscope, named after the tool toys for bob created when developing reignited trilogy. spyroscope can do a lot of things, but the feature that is the focus of this topic is its freecam! i've been using it to get closeup screenshots of models in-game, especially focusing on those that you can't get a very close look at in-game.

this is the tool that i used to get the screenshot of my current icon, which is of a key bug from the sparx levels. here is another angle:



and while we're on the subject of the sparx levels, the eels in starfish reef look VERY funny up close.
