Ever since I was a child I have wanted to try Spam. It is a prominent American icon and I was recently introduced to Spam Musabi. I have not tried it yet out of fear of Spam, so darkSpyro what is your opinion on Spam?.

The food itself is fine

Its really popular for being a cheap protein. It has a very interesting salty yet a little sweet pork flavor. Like imagine bologna but a little more slimy.

I like to cook mine pan seared. Some people add soy sauce but imo that's just way too much salt. Goes good chopped up in a fried rice.

When I was younger, I was not allowed to get it since my parents hate spam. I got told it was "imitation ham" and too salty for their tastes.

"Spam" backwards is "maps." Maps are useful. I like maps; therefore, I love spam.
