Yes, in my country we have mandatory sex ed in fifth grade. It wasn't perfect but I'm thankful we at least were taught the basics. I think ideally sex ed should be taught throughout childhood, stuff like consent for example is very important even out of that context. Children are also learning about sex from step-bro washing machine porn at increasingly younger ages, it's important we educate them early so they can avoid misconceptions or even dangerous situations.

Yeah, for sure, even if it's the basics at a younger age. Absolutely agree with skylandersfan60 in that consent should be first and foremost - we meme about Sonic Sez with the "if someone touches you etc etc that's no good" but that's legit a way to teach children to voice potential abuse even if they don't understand it.
