as you all probably already know i have some heritage that is native american i grew up dissing him and how the day sucks im happy that people are starting to adapt more to indigenous peoples day and we need to just completely wipe Columbus from anywhere near someone who should be celebrated AH some of my family memeers would have been SO dissapointed in me that i didnt diss him this year i always diss him consider yourself dissed now Columbus no one who knows what you were really were and did and acknowledges that likes you YOU ARE DISSED COLUMBUS!

^i guuuueeeeeeeess so but not enough people since people are still recognizing "columbus day" and as AFAIK half the states are still and idk man to me like we should do indigenous peoples day be sure to call attention every year to the fact that the country of america spent years and years and years celebrating such an evil person with maybe even a small thread like this or thats why i do it at least lol

one of the places im at rn used to celebrate indigenous peoples day when it was politically beneficial for them to do, but now apparently now its no longer financially beneficial for them to recognize it so no one said anything

^ UGH that sucks so much i hate how often things like this businesses just do in the moment when it looks good is good for moneysadly it seems to be more often then not
