what kind of kid were you

for me i was and am still evidently the kid who wants to be young and be a kid forever lol as a kid i already had too many adult responsibilities and knowledge by teen years i was already doing ALL of the house work, cooking, being a mom, scrambling for money and all of that but even in my younger years i just had no interested in "adulthood" some kids want to grow up quick so they can drive and be independent and drink alcohol but none of that was important to me (independence was but only in the sense of getting away from my mother for the most part) in that way and other "adult stuff" like smoking and whatever were already being done in my childhood maybe in a state of forever denied an appropriate time-friendly childhood i therefore just wanted to stay a kid and the idea of being an adult didnt appeal to me anymore then my then-current state of so-called childhood...............................................................and so naturally i am still that way i want to pretend i am still a kid somewhere in my heart because being an adulthood is not very fun...

I had existential crisises when I was 11. Honestly never really cares for growing up but also didn't care about being a child

thumbs up but also sympathy frowns for the people who couldnt enjoy their childhood like a normal childhood

I wanted to be a kid forever so I could always play on the playgrounds that were 12 and under only

When I was younger, I just wanted to grow up. I was a very responsible kid in the house, so I didn't see how being a "grown up" would be any different from how I was acting then. Now that I am older and nearing adulthood, I miss my youth. I would never want to go back in time--my middle school years were...rough, for a lack of better terms--but I do wish I enjoyed being a child instead of yearning for adulthood.

I am now also way less responsible than I was when I was younger so uh lol

i had to deal with way more as a kid than a kid should have to, so i spent much of my childhood feeling like i wasn't really a kid anymore but people were still allowed to tell me "no" and there were all kinds of things i just wasn't allowed to do because i wasn't on the planet for long enough. somehow, i was considered mature enough to deal with all the bad stuff though. so in a way, i did just want to have that little bit of autonomy since i wasn't getting any perks from being a kid anyway. i don't know if it would be accurate to say i was a child who wanted to be an adult though. more like i was a child who wanted to "go back" to a childhood i never had.
