i watch youtube mostly to have sound in the background so i end up running into a good amount of poorly made ads

my pet peeve are the ones where its just a robot voice reading out info about some new snake oil. youre so lazy you wouldnt even hire a voice actor im not even going to pretend im gonna buy your producr

you know i was watching a low quality youtube ad the otehr day and then suddenly the video ended and i was like wait................................................................................................................wait WHAT that WAS the video!

exactly! and dude i even got 3 in a row and the ones you cant skip after 5 seconds too... not that ive seen skippable ones recently adblocker is definitely my friend i just cant use it on my phone

yeah i finally figured out a phone browser that blocks youtube ads but i cant always use my phone for youtube. it's the firefox browser for ios! i think newer phones also allow for ad block in the settings but idk

i use an adblocker on Firefox for android and it blocks YouTube ads too. i had to turn off opening YouTube links in the app automatically because i hate the app

Use brave or a firefox based mobile browser to block youtube ads. Personally I just use the NewPipe app

The ads are unbearable but I refuse to ever pay for premium I could waste my money on better things.

I use Youtube Vanced when I'm on mobile but sadly it is no longer being updated due to the dev being dumb so I can't recommend it to anyone since it'll inevitably stop working ): Once it stops working for me I'll switch back to NewPipe

I wish there was a workaround on the Playstation youtube app because I use that to play calming background noise videos and it's irritating when it gets interrupted every 4 minutes by 3 unskippable ads in a row

If you go on YouTube late at night you can get all the cheap and weird ads that people pay for that are just YouTube videos. Like any YouTube video
