I'm a realist. People like to mistake that for being a pessimist, but that actually really annoys me. No, it's not my fault life is a *****. I look at things realistically and I always account for things going wrong. That is nowhere near pessimism. I lean more toward optimist because I like to look on the brighter side of things and always want to help people out in any way I can, just not to an unrealistic extent, either. Therefore... REALIST! What's so hard to understand???

Some definitions...

"a person who accepts a situation as it is and is prepared to deal with it accordingly"

"a person who recognizes what is real or possible in a particular situation; one who accepts and deals with things as they really are"

"representing life as it really is, rather than in an imagined way"

Comes across very scientifical when they word it like that, so I'm sure you don't disagree.
