No wrong answers but you gotta justify your reasoning.

I'd pick Gorilla, because they're general bigger and probably overpower a kangaroo and I just kinda think they're neat

My favorite animal that could one-on-one a kangaroo is a tiger.
But if the animal chosen to fight the kangaroo is allowed to be in the groups they naturally hunt in, then my bets would be on a family of giant river otters.

I'll go with a hippopotamus. Those things are BRUTAL, multi-ton behemoths that are deceptively fast on land. I've heard that Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter himself, considered a short boat trip through hippo territory to be the most nerve-wracking thing he'd ever done.

komodo dragon. i;m not sure. i feel like kangaroos are fast but one bite from the komodo and it's probably over for ol ripper roo. perhaps they dramatically kill each other, resulting in a tie

I mean, a pack of Giant River otters can probably drown a kangaroo with some issues, but we're talking a pack. In a 1v1 I thiiiink maybe a Hyena though there's a large possibility of it getting head locked and drowned. If it's not head locked, a spotted hyena can definitely break some bones and have the stamina to keep up the pace with it.

i feel like a kangaroo could decimate most of my favorite animals with the look in its eyes
but... if two kangaroos fight, one has to beat the other, right?

so i was gonna say bear because big and strong and has claws and stuff
