this topic will be dedicated to the new york metropolitans baseball team

and the mets are now in June where their last 2 games probably just propelled them into their perpetual June gloom and doom where we will be destroyed

you see

wait if their are new yorkers or otherwise here who do not think mets are the best baseball the am in new york fight me

the mets may almost never win anything and disappointment is as common as throwing a pitch but they are the best at being the mets okay

only the mets can get back up and do what they do despite stupid defeat every year

only the mets can still be such a popular team while being so bad

not this year we are or were kickin it

most importantly we have destroyed philly which is my least favorite baseball team every time we met them

i have flipped and flopped between mets and yankees my whole life as there was controversy in this family okay

but i am now a met

i dont care if the yankees are in 1st its not the winning that matters is the feel i get from you as a team and the mets are there

still fav is judge

but thats okay

mets beat the angels today whoop

of course i can!

the mets before being called the mets had plenty of names on the table and one of them was The Bees!

one of the longest games ever were played by the mets and braves it was over 8 hours and ended passed 3am! there were some rain delays.

the last time we won a world series was in 1986

weve only ever won the world series twice!

the last time we played in one was 2015 and it was incredibly painful!

we used to play in a stadium called shea stadium named after willaim shea we now play at the new field citi field

we just got our second no-hitter a few weeks ago in franchise history an it was so cool!

we destroyed my least favorite team the phillies recently at the very end of the game we were down 1-7 and in the last inning came back to win it last second with 8-7

the mets one again today which is good because the game yesterday was an embarrassment

okay were in the 8th losing 2 - 8 to stupid texas why not of course of course why not just go and get beat up by the cheaters and cast doubt that you can make it passed them later on mega come on

mets vs marlins in about 12 hours theres no reason to lose bonus said aaron judge walk off lined whatever texas and stole that game so one new york team beat them 1 time at least heres hoping if ws is texas vs mets they figure it out too

1. we have a home run apple! its just a big fake apple the original from shea stadium has been passed on to citi field now but there’s also a new apple that pops up when they home run!

2. meet the mets is the team theme song some of the lines were removed a whole back because they sounded kind of sexist though

3. the reason they wear blue and orange is because the old brooklyn dodgers wore blue and the new york giants wore orange so they mixed them together! also worked because theyre also the new york colors so we look like a box of frosted flakes pretty much

4. our mascot is mr met but thats not at all the only one we also have mrs met and there are even baby mets!

5. a met mike piazza held a conference to confirm he was straight and not gay i forget why but people thought he was gay and he wanted to clarify he was not but would accept any player that was

6. jacob degrom also known as the best pitcher ever was the first ever pitcher to get 3 strikeouts with less than 10 pitches

7. 6 players appeared in an all star game from the mets once because hey there were just that many of them that were that good on the team
