make the following happen

magnifying glass is hit zoom out (win+-) and suddenly none of the keys work the right way

s opens snip
w opens mail
down arrow opens calculator
win key hits caps shift and alt also
up arrow acts as f12 on browsers
spacebar opens both a new file explorer window and full screens and app like f11
there is no fix

windows 10 home
fully updated
isn t sticky keys or filter keys
ikeys or whatever is not running in task manager
i have signed in and out which worked once it did it again and now it doesn t work anymore
virtual keyboard also did not work at first but is now working


this is a new computer 3month old cute baby computer

Sounds like your Win key is stuck, first thing would be to clean it, then try switching keyboard languages and/or reinstalling your keyboard drivers.
What lap top model is it?.

that was kind of what i thought too until i realized the win key does not have a combination with the w leg whatsoever to open mail or the calculator for that matter so it wasn t that it seems i tried keyboard languages sticky keys filter elects all that still nope

it s a custom built desktop actually never had this issue until i was mid typing an email go figure

My bad shouldn't have assumed. Yeah I was a bit baffled by that, have you had a chance to swap keyboards? have you tried going into safe mode (if possible) and have you updated recently?. I've seen windows updates cause weird issues like this before.

it did just recently update so i wouldn t be surprised that was it however despite the virtual keyboard acting up at first to it corrected itself and when switching to a different keyboard it seems to work fine guess windows said i won t be using the old one anymore for some reason lol
