i live on a sofa in a living room having been kicked from my apartment getting close to a year now ask me questions about the good life i will give honest answers

i did for a while about a decade ago this is just my own experience because of how i grew up my mom was an artist and i remember a paint brush being in my hand basically as early as i could walk she was super critical of my art and writing arts abilities and that put an immense pressure on me to be perfect she would also punish me by taking away my art and then be dumbfounded why am i not better? lol once i was old enough to do whatever i wanted like actually use a computer i started drwing commissions and made some money doing it for a time idk why but it made me so miserable i started to hate art and started to slip further into depression at that time basically at this point i refuse to draw commissions or even get a job in the art field becuase of the fear of revisiting artist hell i m sure it has to do with my mothers influence on me and i just like to have full control over my art and how people will see it but more importantly i think it s about only drawing things that i like and have an attachment to and havig my own time and schedule

all that being said i want art to be my main career at this point i just want to be absolutely on my own terms no commissions just maybe a successful manga or illustrated novel series and be able to make a good living off of that it seems doable at the moment the only benefit of how i grew up in that way is that i have a professional level of drawing ability and people often flock to my art i now have no job or apartment and have plenty of time to focus on my art to make that happen

pretty much if you know how to do it (being good honestly doesn t even matter) and if you re like me and now hate the idea of a retail job or something i say do it just start throwing yourself out there it can work and has worked out for many many others the internet has changed the artworld in a lot of ways one of the positive ways is giving a loser like me the ability to share her art anywhere and not need snobby french art galleries to show off in lol

they re here with me still we ve been bouncing around Erika has no job now either so basically just Danny is making the money to pay what we need to pay worst case scenario i guess dads basement but eeeeeh…….. ps danny gets the very comfortable floor right next to my sofa owow
