honestly I think phones are ok as long as its not some government security job. Like if you already did your tasks and have nothing left to do sure it's cool. But if you're using it to avoid working then I'm against it.

It's fine if there's down time and not much going on, but it shouldn't be used more than that, otherwise it can be a major problem. It's a bad habit to not only check it frequently but also let it take time over your work.


So, my answer is pretty much yes, but it depends on when and where.

Depends on the job. At mine, we're pretty cool about it as long as it doesn't become a problem. I usually have mine on my desk but I only look at it when I get a text or email.

I use mine at work, but mostly to listen to music while I work. I work on the production floor at an automotive factory where I load parts onto a jig. It's very mind-numbing, so it gets me through the day.

ok but i hate it when jobs don't want you to use phones, but they won't give you a walkie-talkie, so you literally have to break the rules to get the info you need to work
