I was walking up to her to talk about one of my students that needed to make up a class, and I was like "Hey Mo........." at which point I froze and looked around to see if anyone heard. Then my boss turned toward me with an unreadable expression on her face, I'm not sure if she heard me or knew I had been in the middle of calling her "mom" before stopping myself. So I just pretended I hadn't said anything and started my question over with her name.
This hasn't happened to me since elementary school with my teacher. Doesn't get less awkward as an adult.

Just ate a time muffin and now I'm traveling through the time vortex.
I did that a few times while working at McDonald's. Eventually we just kind of went along with it and she became my mom, and eventually mommy. People thought it was weird but nobody was complaining when I knew where to go when we were running low on milk. Thank you mommy~♡

if i accidentally called my boss mom that would surely be a sign that to my boss that is hould be terminated immediately because i would then pose a genuine threat because if i mistook her for MY mom there must be some serious problems going on i the work place uh oh

the worst time i called someone mom was when i walked up to a lady and hugged her saying "i love you mom". i then realized that this was just some random woman who i hugged for no reason
i was talking to my manager about a lot of stuff that was going on with the store, and we were both leaving and when i said bye i also sail i love you because the last time i said bye to someone i thoroughly enjoyed being around, they had a car accident. so yeah cue awkward ezio
