but just hear, like, one sentence out of a conversation? and then wonder what they were talking about?

i hear voices all of the time but i put them there because they re my imaginary friends and i have no one else to talk to

I hear the best snippets of sentences and conversations when I'm drifting off into sleep sometimes. I don't really consider them to be dreams because there's no visuals to go along with them and sometimes my eyes aren't even closed and I'm still pretty aware of my surroundings. Occasionally they'll be things people said earlier on in the day or a quote from something that I watched; some are just completely out there, though, although sometimes in voices that I'm familiar with.

I'll try to keep track of them if I get any. It's just hard for me to remember what they are because I usually fall asleep shortly afterward and my memory of what happened when I'm drifting off gets really blurry.

My most recent one I can think of is a woman's voice saying "***** face." She sounded similar to Lindsey, but not quite.

there's actually an interesting distinction between auditory hallucinations and voices you hear in your mind (more like an internal dialogue sort of thing).

i've never had an auditory hallucination, but i do find learning about such things to be interesting

naw. any voice in my head is of my own creation.

It's either me, a youtuber voice, or my OCs.

Any auditory hallucinations are grounds to at least check out if medication side effects aren't acting weird, or something along those lines, that happens.

I have *very* rare ones of people calling my name or going hey, but it's usually at such a stress point that it's the least of my troubles. Always keeping an eye on it though, if it gets any more common it's grounds to report to my therapist.
