I hate how I feel like I have to be a champion at every game I play just because I’m a girl and if I’m not the absolute best then people will use me as an example.

Plus there’s this weird culture in gaming where if you criticize a game’s gameplay at all people will be all like “get gud noob”. This happened in a game where I would actually consider myself to be an expert at, but I didn’t post my stats because A: I would be upholding the “you can’t criticize anything unless you’re an expert” and B: he’d probably find something wrong with them like “You didn’t win 100% of your games or you haven’t played a million total games”

Long story short...

**** no.

Long story...

**** no. I could give my whole life story about sexism in general, but that would take far too long, so we're just gonna focus on the video games right now. I've been playing video games since I was a munchkin, so my history with this goes waaaay back. I don't consider myself to be the best video game player in the world, but I can confidently say I'm better than most people I've played with online. Let's take fighting games, for instance...

I have no strategy when it comes to fighting games. I just button mash and see how many attacks I can pull off and I jump a lot. That pisses the hell out of people. Angry hate vulgar threat messages and rage quitting mid-match. Also dropping out of playing online as a whole once they see I'm still around. I literally ruined the entire concept of playing online for them. And half of the time it's not even about the game anymore, it just turns into a string of sexist slurs. Some people also refuse to play with me period just because I'm a girl. MuSt FiNd AnOtHeR dUdE, 2 KEWL 2 PLAU WIT GURLLLLLLL. Yeah, even though GURLLLLLLL is the best one here and she winds up whippin' your ass once she's on the other team.

And honestly, the discussions in the communities are even worse. Ask one question, and I'm immediately labeled and idiot who doesn't know anything about the series, shouldn't be a part of the community, and just given this disgusting, self-righteous, sarcastic attitude, of which EVERY single time I make a smart-ass remark back proving them wrong and then them and the rest of their ass-kissing posse never replies back to me after that because I embarrassed them all. Aw poor baby, your manly dude ego was hurt by a widdle gurlllllll. Run to mommy, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

And lastly...

For those of you who might be reading this under the wrong impression, men are separate from video game doodz. I'm not sexist in any way, even if it sounds conceited, I'm guaranteed the least sexist person you'll ever know. I'm triggered to such an aggressive extent about this stuff because I received so much sexism in my life, I don't tolerate sexism from anybody, male or female. So I'm not a misandrist or whatever, don't even go there with me.

Tl;dr - **** no.
