feels like the community is starting to come together a bit more, but that might just be me peeking into different places where spyro fans tend to be

I wonder if they will go the extra step to acknowledge Legend too, would be amazing to see not just Spyro but Cynder too, also for classic, bring back Ember and Flame. Will be more fun for more 2000s era Spyro fan like me if it’s not just the original trilogy.

It’s been quite a while, hope this post belongs here as I didn’t want to open another topic solely for this.

I just felt like this was the perfect time to come back and say “hi”, since it’s Spyro’s Community Day on Twitter and this is really my only way to express my sympathy to this franchise in terms of “social media”.

I really strongly hope that all these potential teasers from companies, datamines of Crash On the Run! and more or less convoluted theories and speculations wil eventually add up to an actual brand new game; the Reignited Trilogy was great but Spyro needs a chance to shine anew like Crash had. The series truly deserves it for the mark it left on the gaming industry for its technical and artistical breakthroughs and for the impact on the gamers themselves, shown once more with today’s event.

The time feels right too for at least an announcement, if anything because it’s been almost three years since we last saw anything new without it being a cameo, an easter egg or a guest-starring appearance.
Not counting too much on any specific occasion, such as Summer Game Fest or E3, but Activision could decide to surprise us like it did for the remakes and reveal it out of nowhere or with very little anticipation.
Unless they feel like it would take the spotlight away from Crash’s 25th birthday, which absolutely deserves to be celebrated in the best way possible.

I don’t know... I just feel like we are back in 2018, with all these teasers potentially hinting at something but at the same time no definitive idea of what’s going on; wish I could be more optimistic since unlike then we do have the Reignited Trilogy as a proof that Activision is interested in the series, yet at the same time I don’t feel as confident for Spyro’s future as with his bandicoot friend.

Probably just needed to voice some thoughts with some people who (hopefully) care.

^heya, drek! i totally agree that all this stuff is reminiscent of what they were doing in 2018. the spyro community seems to have different ideas about what it means depending on where you look. in my experience, twitter tends to think nothing's going to happen (especially since that whole debacle with tfb's dev team), while other places are sure there'll be another game. i'm hopeful we'll get good stuff soon.

Let me guess, it’s USA only so Canadians will be left out and won’t be able to find them in stores, I just checked EB Games clothing section and there’s none of them(will have to check the separate geek store in my mall to see if they are there)

Oh they added a new shirt since yesterday. That's nice af shirt. If I had money and good memory I would probably get a few. Tho I got other other clothes I honestly need to get first.

ugh yeah this stuff is pretty pricey

The Flamin' and Smokin' shirt as well as one of the hoodies have definitely caught my eye, but I find it hard to justify the price (not that they're super pricey, but still). I'll probably grab them down the line if they're still avaliable (which I hope they are). At least this time there is some actual unique designs on some products, unlike the majority of Spyro and Crash merchandise thus far, which has mostly just been stock images reused over and over (like Crash doing the thumbs up sign and Spyro doing the Reignited-placeholder-cover pose).

kinda wish they were actually selling the shirt i linked in the first post. it's a fun design, but i couldn't find it on the store
