depending on the quality of what you're using, it's easier to blend with cheap colored pencils than it is with cheap crayons. you can typically get more colors w cheap colored pencils.

i say this as someone who's been using the same set of basic colored pencils for the past 2 years.

prismacolors are super expensive and not worth it unless you're really into using colored pencils.

^very true and you know what s also great for those of you out there who have never tried them copic markers they are worth every penny

although i am a mostly dedicated 3d artist now for both the cost efficiency and environmental benefits
