This is my new story. It covers the trials and tribulations of a troubled girl named Erika. I hope you enjoy it.

Chapter 1


"Good morning!" Erika exclaimed.
"Good?" Erika remarked.
"Morning?" Erika added.
Erika gave them a stern look, not amused with their immediate snarky remarks.
"Do you have to, really?"
"I don't think you're really one to complain."
"Uhh, yes, according to you, I am one to complain!"
Erika let out a muffled laugh.
"You think this is funny?" Erika turned her head to look at her.
"That one was pretty good⁠—can't lie," Erika admitted. "Wouldn't you agree?"
"No," she said simply.
Erika gave her a strange look.
"Can you really disagree?" Erika asked, truly puzzled.
Erika seemed to ponder the question very seriously. She placed her thumb on her chin and her index finger on the edge of her nose, pushing it upward somewhat, perhaps so deep in thought that she didn't even realize it was happening and how ridiculous it made her look. She scrolled her eyes around slowly, although not focusing on anything in particular, only blinking every so often.
"Do you have an answer?" Erika finally asked.
"Do you?" Erika replied.
Once again, Erika pondered the very question. She pondered the meaning of life. She pondered emotion. She pondered gravity. She pondered taxes. "What does it mean when I say 'I?'" she thought. Nothing seemed to make sense to her anymore.
"Yes."
"Yes?"
"Yes."
"Yes to which question?"
"Which question?"
"Which question?"
"If you can disagree."
"Can you?"
"Yes."
Erika looked over at Erika, skeptical of Erika's conclusion.
"What?" Erika asked, obviously somewhat annoyed by Erika's reaction, perhaps because she spent so much time figuring out the answer, she was expecting a better one.
"Are you sure about that?" Erika glanced back at Erika.
"Yes!" she reinforced.
Erika just scrolls her eyes around, looking very confused and possibly trying not to be noticed.
"What are your thoughts?" Erika called out Erika.
So much for not being noticed.
"W-what?"
"What do you mean 'what?' I asked, what are your thoughts?"
"Uh..."
"'Uh' is not an answer."
"Um..."
"'Um' is not an answer!"
"Stooop!" Erika butted in. "The more pressure you put on her, the harder it's going to be for her to answer."
"Is she twelve?"
"You're giving her flashbacks of when she was twelve in school and there was a time limit on the tests and the teachers were actually expecting her to do well."
"Oh, no, they weren't. The teachers want you to do bad, that's why they time you. Nobody does good on a timer."
"Hey!" Erika yipped. "Erika did exceptionally well on a timer!"
Erika places her hand on Erika's shoulder. Only for second, however, as Erika quickly squirms away and swats away Erika's hand, almost as if she were an insect.
Erika noticed her mistake, making an odd face.
"Where were we again?" Erika asked.
"Uhhh..." Erika was trying to remember what the point in this conversation even was. "I think it was abooouuut... Oh, damn, I really don't remember."
"Oh! If we can disagree or not!" Erika shouted out.
"Yep! That's it!" Erika pointed at Erika, confirming her memory.
"Well? What do you think?" Erika asked.
"What do you think?"
"Shouldn't it be the same thing as you?"
"Is it?"
Erika and Erika had a brief stare-off. They both knew what they had to do.
"Dogs."
"Cats."
"Holy ****," Erika exclaimed, seeming almost slightly disturbed by the outcome.
"Aha! So we can disagree! See? We're not always thinking the same thing," Erika explained.
"That's very valid..."
Erika, Erika, and Erika all stood there, not sure what there was left to say. This was the end of a very meaningful conversation, but just the start of many more to come.

Chapter 2


The sounds of explosions could clearly be heard. Just from the noise, you could tell severe damage was being done, not only to the surroundings, but to the people, as well.
"Come on, come on, come on!" Erika said underneath her breath.
"Jump! Jump!" Erika shouted.
"I am jumping!"
"Yeah, that's the problem, Erika! All you do is jump!" Erika remarked. "You have to try something else!"
"I'm doing everything I can!"
"Do more!" Erika shouted.
"You're gonna get me—"
"NO WAY!"
"Killed..." Erika lightly but abruptly dropped the video game controller. The game was over. Literally.
"Nice one," Erika gave a spiteful glance by the side of her eyes.
"You're not blaming me for this, are you?!" Erika and Erika said in unison.
Erika raised her eyebrows.
"Accurate response, 'cause I'm blaming both of you."
"This is my first time, okay?" Erika insisted.
"Bold thing to admit."
"Oh, Erika, go to hell."
"Okay, okay, okay," Erika interrupted the quickly pacing argument. "We're never gonna figure out how to win like this."
Erika rolled her eyes, sharply exhaling while she leaned back, as Erika let out an offended scoff.
"Why don't you tell that to her? She's the one behind the controller."
"Look, I'm telling that to the both of you. We need to put our heads together if we ever want to figure this out."
They both stood silent.
"Well?"
The silence continued.
"Erika."
Silence.
"Erika."
More silence.
"Before I physically put both of your mother****ing heads together, at least one of you better give me an answer."
Erika let out an annoyed groan.
"She's a lost cause!"
"You're a lost cause!"
"You're me!"
"I'm you!"
Even more silence.
The silence remained this time, however, as Erika, Erika, and Erika once again realized the situation they were in.

Chapter 3


Silence. After all this time, there was still silence.
"Erika."
Until there wasn't.
"Erika."
Erika lie sleeping on the floor. Nope. No bed. Not even a pillow. Just a small blanket that compares in thinness to the poor girl herself.
"Erika."
"Oh my God, stop."
"She's been asleep for a mother****ing month!"
"But this is the first night in three I finally have the chance to, so please stop."
"You know it doesn't work that way."
"It's about to."
Erika gets a look of concern on her face.
"I kind of view that as a threat..." Erika states, cautiously.
"Maybe you should," Erika remarks, her expression still blank.
Another moment of silence passes by. Erika turns her attention away from Erika, and back at Erika.
"Eri-"
"I swear to God."
"Somebody needs to wake her up," Erika insists.
"Well, it doesn't have to be you. And it doesn't have to be me. And it doesn't have to be tonight. And it doesn't have to be ever."
"Then nobody's waking her up!" Erika stands herself up and walks closer to the still-sleeping pitiful girl. "Sleeping Beauty!"
"Don't kid yourself, come on."
"Mirror, mirror, on the wall, wake the **** up or you'll never be tall."
"Pfft."
Erika begins nudging Erika with her foot, advancing the aggression in both speed and force.
It appears as if Erika moves her head slightly in reaction to Erika's relentless shoving, but I suppose it's a bit hard to tell given said relentless shoving.
"Oh? Does she wake?"
"Ah, come on. Now look what you've done."
Erika only looks up at Erika for a moment before quickly grabbing on to her leg and knocking her over fiercely onto her ass.
"What the hell?!" Erika exclaims in pain, looking at Erika in a combination of shock, confusion, and terror.
Erika does not say anything. She just continues her expressionless stare with the exception of widened eyes.
"I told you waking her up was a bad idea."
"You didn't see that coming, though...!"
"Mh," Erika shrugs her shoulders, appearing as if she didn't necessarily, but didn't really care either way.
Erika continues her Kayako stare at Erika.
"Don't look at me like that! Your ass has been asleep for over a full month now!"
"Does that count February being extra short?"
"I don't know. Do people count us being extra short? Seems like it."
"We're about to be short an Erika. What do you want?" Erika finally speaks, however still not changing her expression.
"You thought you could hibernate forever?" Erika questions her.
"I wanted to."
"Well, that's too bad for you! Not on the floor, you don't!" Erika says while picking her own ass up from the floor. "That's way too uncomfortable! It's bad for the back. We need to find you a new sleeping arrangement."
"New sleeping arrangement...?"
Erika seems not very enthusiastic about this suggestion, Erika does, and Erika just wishes she could finally sleep, but alas. That doesn't happen often in a day or two in the life of Erika.
