Keanu used to be scared screaming of the mere adjustments for his cage. Now he's just a unamused af hamster.

My cat is afraid of socks.

Our dog is scared of stairs. When she was a puppy we blocked off the stairs to the different floors, so she wouldn’t eat from the cat’s food bowl or litterbox. Now she has no experience with stairs, and won’t go up or down them.

Once we had a tornado warning and we took her into the basement through the back door. She panicked and tried to run up the basement steps, only to find that the door was closed. The basement door opens towards the stairs. There isn’t enough space to stand at the top of the steps and not get hit by the opening door. Perri refused to walk back down the stairs. She weighs as much as a kid. Getting her out was not an easy task.

my cat is scared of vacuums, and honestly, i don't blame her.

My mom in law's dog flips out every time you offer him a cigarette. He barks louder if it's actually lit.

Yeah, my dog doesn't like the rustling noise of plastic bags either. I think it has something to do with how sensitive a dog's ears can be.

i like how mine went from being afraid of brooms to playing with them
as of now, prob the vacuum though sometimes she'll treat it as a toy. seems unsure if she's afraid of it or not.

My roomates' dog is afraid of staplers and measuring tools
We never touched her with one, she never accidentally bit into it. One just fell on the room she was in and made a noise, REALLY FAR AWAY from her, and that's enough for her to run away in a panic when we get close with it

My cat isn't afraid of anything particularly weird, but if you drag your feet with a paper under it, you'll make her do a backflip to run away.
