First time I've ever cried over a celebrity's death.

he brought a lot of joy and hope into the world, and i'm sad to see him leave so soon.

even though i usually eye roll over people telling super deep stories about celebrity deaths this one hurts more than a typical one. boseman was a hero for many black children around the world and inspired them that can be proud of their skin color. the man is larger than life for being able to stay silent about his condition as if he was perfectly fine. i'd imagined it was super difficult for him to visit sick people with the same conditions and just being able to laugh it off knowing he was in a similar position.

i remember just walking through comic shops and stores post-black panther release and seeing kids absolutely light up because there was a hero that looked like them. so many kids in walmart trying on the mask and the claws and running around saying theyre the ruler of wakanda
