Repopulating during a zombie apocolypse?

Taking care of newborn babies while simultaneously keeping zombies out make no sense? Whoever thinks repopulating is a good idea is only making more food for zombies to eat.

I don't want kids but in this situation it'd be the only way to have sex so I guess I'm game.

Make the babies, then use them as zombie bait.

every zombie media has a character who is like "oh no theyre still human dont kill them owo". and then you know what happens to them? they die because they didnt kill the zombie they saved.

To be honest, i think the only thing here lately in the media that has given a "scary" portrayal of "zombies" is The Last of Us. It gave a realistic cause, and honestly, a very natural one too. A fungus that causes this? it gives the idea of zombies a turn for the better.

I feel bad because my first and only real experience watching Night of the Living Dead was riffing over it in a Skype call in 2012.
Every time I see clips from it now it seems really cool and eerie in its cinematography and atmosphere.
