I'll have you know, I haven't left the house, let alone leave my room for two weeks now. According to Trudeau, by staying indoors, and avoiding people, I'm a hero who is saving lives. It's not easy work keeping the world safe, but someone has to do it.

i know this is a joke topic, but i'm going to rant a little anyway smilie

my life used to be pretty much quarantine for several years, but that's because my dad/his family didn't want me going outside alone

i can understand why they'd be scared, but it was really ended up being a way to control me. i didn't get to hang out with other people outside of school for middle/highschool. plus, i was in an intense academic program that i took too seriously, which didn't give me much time to visit others anyway. starting at the end of highschool and college, i've put more effort into hanging out with people outside of class; and socializing in general. usually, that has consisted of d&d, or day-trips to places.

this quarantine has been extremely frustrating. i'm afraid i'll fall back into old habits and lose whatever social life i've gained. i used to be afraid of just going outside! i have come far.

ultimately, it's my choice to continue interacting with others in person after all of this is over. but it's scary because i never wanted to live like this again.

I'm not very outgoing myself, although I do at least like going out for a bite to eat and walking my dog. Now apparently even that's off-limits here. Good thing there isn't much activity around here to start with, and I can at least go shopping for essentials, even head over to a more rural place where wandering around outside won't be made into an issue.
