do we think nintendo will ever make GCN/Wii games playable via NSO?

topic title.

i think it's fairly safe to assume that at some point we will receive N64 and maybe even gameboy (og and advanced) games on NSO. but nintendo has not had GCN backwards compatibility/emulation since the wii. the wii u had digital wii games + backwards compatibility but no gcn support at all.

2 console generations later, do we think gcn support will return? how about wii titles? will they be given via NSO or sold seperately under a new VC banner in the eshop? will mother 3 ever be released in america?

Knowing I want to play the Baten Kaitos duology, I would be overjoyed if we could get Gamecube games on the virtual console, I did seeked Gamecube games but now the best ones like Wind Waker are expensive sadly.
