from what i know about ebay, it's easier to get scammed on there. but being scammed isnt going to cost you your life. thats the problem with craigslist is that (at least from what i've heard) you have to meet irl in order to get whatever you buy.

on top of that pimps USED to use craigslist for prostitution, but i believe that this is heavily monitored now, so people don't do this as much if at all.

Like Paris said, sure it's a relative small chance, but a chance nonetheless that things could go very wrong with Craigslist. You meet irl to do the actual transaction, so there's plenty of risk of getting killed, kidnapped, or lord only knows else. And it's happened too. If you ever use it for any reason, always meet in broad daylight in a busy public location with someone else there with you, and still be careful when leaving.

eBay, worst you really get is scammed out of your money and end up with a ****ty/broken/bootleg product, but even then, as long as you use PayPal, there's enough buyer protection that you should be in the clear after a mild hassle of the claim process.

Ebay. Like yeah you can get scammed, but Ebay staff will actually help you in your time of need.

Ebay never got me laid, so I vote Craigslist. Although Craigslist is neutered now that it got rid of the personals section, so my vote only applies to pre-neutered Craigslist.

I don't use Craigslist much but it's not that bad. Sometimes there's awesome stuff on there, you just have to be smart about going to pick it up.
