Finally a good live action anime/manga adaptation! Seriously, one of the best films in a while. I left the cinema in awe. The CGI is phenomenally stunning, great music and characters. The world building is also really interesting and sucks you in. I haven't read the manga but sure will do.
I hope it gets a sequel, that depends on it making enough money. A bit lack-luster in the West but it's done really well in China.

I haven't seen the film, but I've witnessed some images and trailers. I've heard a lot of complaints about Alita's large eyes in the film, though. What are your thoughts on that? You said the CGI was great; do you think that part in particular was handled well?

Well she's based off a manga and is a cyborg so there's no rules stating her eyes can't be enlarged. They were able to use them to show deep emotion, so I'd say they were handled well.
