Normally, I'm against self-insertion because it comes out off as self-pitying wish fulfillment though putting yourself in as a background character is fine enough. I'm currently doing some video game fanart based on Caravaggio's The Taking of Christ.



The man in the far right end is Caravaggio himself. Should I put in the game's creator, producer and/or director or I put myself in since this is going to be my drawing?

This is the exact context I thought when I first read the title and I was wondering why someone was asking for sexual advice on a Spyro forum.

I've just come out of writing a story for my mate Lovely Chris, who I insert him into a lot, and insert myself into, with the hope that I'll insert myself into him at some point. This one's especially cringeworthy, but if it makes him laugh I don't mind. It's not super serious or anything.

In regards to this, it's "only" fan art. You're a fan, do whatever the Hell you want to show your appreciation for the game and its creator. You can insert me into it, if you want. I'll be Christ in this instance, but not necessarily because I'm crucified. Yet.

Also make sure you wash it afterwards.
