Whirlwind and Sunburn. Whirlwind because I can imagine her having armor similar to her S3 repose and Sunburn because he's the most forgotten Skylander from the first game. Also, they're both my top favourites besides Spyro.

I've the feeling we'll see anthropomorphic characters above all, since they're the best suited for being "awakened" design wise.

Anyway, I agree with Bifrost, Fiesta would be amazing. Another personal favorite for me would be Thumpback, with some kind of pirate-themed armor/suit, maybe something based again on marine shells of something like that, but with a pirate hat and other stuff.
