I always think of snakes as throats with scales and teeth and venom.

I used to make a big show out of killing venomous snakes.

I still do if I find them in my yard. But it's only because I have pets.

I leave nonvenomous snakes alone, they're usually not hurting anyone. Plus it's illegal to kill them where I live. (But sometimes it's fun to play with them)
