Machamp/Grimer- two of my best catches in GO when the game first came out.

Charizard- got a shiny one over WT when i first started playing Moon.

Golduck/Pelipper- my first two RE shinies

Lugia-first legendary i ever caught. i've used one in every silver playthrough i've done

Everyone from my RSE buddies, the first time I played pokémon knowing what to do. From Dustox to Dusclops, to Exploud and Aggron, and even the Chimecho that was a pain to catch.

Also a soft spot for some Gen V guys, like Sigilyph, Leavanny and others.

Feraligatr: soul silver was the first pokemon game I owned by myself and he was my starter
Raikou: the first legendary I caught

Vespiquen was the first Pokémon I knew, I got into the series when some kid gave me a Vespiquen card in like second grade. Still have the card to this day.

Samurott was my first starter in a game and I named him Whirltide, and have him transferred up to the current generation.

Galvantula because I decided it was my favorite when I was a wee lad of 10 or 11 and I remember being really excited to see an anime episode with Galvantula in it

Vivillon because it was my first ever Shiny I got (without cheating because I cheated in a **** ton of Shinies in Black and White lol)

Whismur - First shiny I ever got.
Slowpoke - I got a toy of one from Burger King when I was a kid. That was the first time I ever saw that Pokemon.
Raikou - Reminds me of the Legend of Thunder special. I also got one from the 10th anniversary tour which was the first Pokemon event I ever went to.
Mew - Reminds me of the first movie and I got one from a TRU event shortly after DP came out. That was the first Mew I ever got without cheats and glitches.
Blastoise - The first holo foil card I ever got.
Vaporeon - First Eeveelution I ever got in a game and it was originally my favourite before I liked Flareon and Espeon.
Golduck - After seeing the episode Bye Bye Psyduck when I was a kid, it's been one of my favourites ever since. Because of that, I used it on my Y team along with Venusaur which was another favourite when I was a kid.
Totodile - First starter I picked in GSC. Gen 2 is my all time favourite gen.
Torchic - First starter in Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team.
Turtwig - First starter in Pearl. I enjoyed spending my summer playing that game when I was 14.
Fennekin - My starter in Y version. Gen 6 has become one of my favourite gens.
Leafeon and Glaceon - I ordered Pokedolls of them online and the day they arrived in the post was the same day my boyfriend asked me out.

Monferno. I loved him in diamond and felt connected with this stage the most. When he evolved we kicked ass but I didn't know how to get past route 1 so I was stuck with monferno for awhile.

Mewtwo- my first Pokémon game was Pokémon X and it was the first legendary I caught that I gave a damn about, plus it was the first one I ever got to level 100
Treecko- my favorite starter Pokémon as well as my second starter (my first was fennekin and I hated it)
Shiny charizard- took like 200+ eggs but he was the first shiny I bred for.
Lunala- Lillie’s role and development in Sun and Moon’s story rlly hit me (diminished after USUM cut out some important **** like her going to exeggutor island, I am still salty), and Lunala was a part of that.
Silvally- same as Lunala but with Gladion

Kecleon: For bringing me joy whenever I hear it mentioned when talking about it in Mystery Dungeon (and also fear when I see it in Mystery Dungeon)
The Igglybuff line: Igglybuff and Wigglytuff from Mystery Dungeon, Jigglypuff for being my Smash main (and helping me be popular with 7 other people for like a minute at a convention)
Cubone and Machop: Pretty sure one of these was my first Mystery Dungeon Starter
Koffing: For being shiny in 11 eggs
Weezing: For being shiny TWO EGGS LATER (and being a tank like why are you in PU?)

Seviper - I once found two shiny ones in a row in the friend safari.
Palkia - Same reason as Turtwig, it reminds me of when I spent summer playing Pearl version. I got a Palkia stylus as a pre order bonus.

Shinx. I used to always use it during any playthrough of the Sinnoh games and Explorers of Sky back when I played those games a ton. It's easily my favorite Pokemon.

Gallade. He was my first shiny that I got off the GTS back in diamond because apparently someone was super nice and gave me a lv. 100 shiny kirlia when all I asked for was a male kirlia lol. Like yeah I'm 99% sure it was hacked, but hey, made me happy.
