what's the ****tiest year you've ever had?

mine is 2017. i got into an abusive relationship, lost judas, lost popcorn, and lost my cat.
losing judas was really bad. but losing my cat hit me the worst. it was honestly the worst thing that's ever happened to me. i don't care about anything that happened with my relationship, it literally can't compare to watching my cat suffer until he died last december. i know people have it 10000x worse than me but tbh i feel like i lost a lot of things important to me during 2017.

I never had a worst year, but 2016 was notable because it was the year we had to put down my dog due to his cancer. That hit real, real hard once it came. Come to think of it, the two year anniversary of it is coming within the next two weeks. March 4th. It's gonna be surreal and sad.

omg im so sorry smilie i never experienced pet death til last year. i cry pretty much every time i think about my cat. when i was a kid i never thought i'd have to see the day where i'd watch him die and bury him. death hits really hard for me

2014. My grandma died which hit me really hard and seeing how she was the one I was living with, caused me to have to move in with my dad in another state. That same year I started 10th grade which was miserable, having no friends in a new school, my social anxiety and loner esk traits not really helping in that fact.

2011. A lot of difficult stuff happened to my family that year. We're okay now, but the scar still kinda remains.

2013, mainly the first half was a bit rubbish. Mainly due to having problems at school, not exactly fitting in but that changed later that year where I met new friends, I also found out that my grandad had cancer which sucked. 2014 in some ways was worse aswell as that was the year that he died, I visited daily so it was horrible seeing him going downhill. So yeah, it's either 2013 or 2014.

Worst year

I mean, I haven't exactly had a bad year per say, like I haven't had any family members I knew die.

I guess the worst year was probably when my mother's grandfather died(can't remember which year it was)

Honestly, the way she acted for the next couple of weeks was depressing

honestly this one lmao
its just the first 2 months but
-i lost my scholarship because my polisci teacher still hasnt ****ing posted grades, 3 months later
-my moms coworkers cancer relapsed
-nearly all my friends dropped out
-one of my best friends is moving away
-my dad had a heart attack
-one of my dogs died

so yeah, really ****ty 2 months

its tied for 2015 in which i finally got out of a really physically and emotionally abusive relationship which really scarred me and got me close to suicide multiple times

more bad things have happened to me so far this year, but 2015 hit me pretty hard so

It's strange that quite a few users here had their cats die in 2017, myself included. I completely understand the anguish you're going through.

That being said, 2017 was the worst year of my life so far. I'm not going into detail but there were many other issues and events that made last year all round awful.

2017. I started suffering from some pretty bad anxiety and my grandmother(technically she was my great grandmother but to me she was a mother, she raised me) passed away at the end of the year which has caused a lot of problems. God I miss her.

So yeah 2017 sucked.

2013, I think, when I had pneumonia. I only spent a week in hospital but I was pretty weak for the few months before and after it.

1998 to 2000 when I had to go to a different primary school before coming back to my first one, specifically the bus rides over from home to the school for reasons I don't feel comfortable discussing here.

I was on a really bad path, and I was making really stupid decissions. Plus I found out my biological dad has been lying to us for twelve (like, 15/16 in Mom's case) years, so that is always fun.

I can't really clump bad events on a year, so I can't say which year was better or worse except when it comes to my hobbies, I just kinda remember when stuff happened.

Last year.

Finished school, had no idea what to do with my life besides something to do with art.
Decided to do a tattoo apprenticeship with my step-dad.
Turns out he is really mentally abusive (he was physically abusive when I was younger as well) and was on a huge power trip with me. Forced me to do things exactly the way he wanted. Never let me touch a tattoo machine, had me sitting there all day watching him tattoo when I never got a chance.
Step dad threw a tantrum when I left my nail biting repellent at home and my two counsellors say I've been traumatised from it.
Was too scared to speak to him so I told my mum about it.
He stopped mentoring me because him and my mum argued about his treatment towards me. I was "too quiet and un initiative". I wonder why? I was too scared to make a movement around him!??
Got so stressed out that I developed psoriasis and couldn't go to the tattoo shop for a month. Don't know why is was still going. No one was training me anyway and I wasn't even getting paid at all.
Went back after a month or so.
Accidentally screwed up with money and broke down about it at the front desk. Never went back after that day.
I now had no job (not that you could call a tattoo apprenticeship a job because I never got paid a cent) so I got even more depressed and anxious.
Applied to everywhere in town for months but no one ever got back to me.
Fifteen year old sister became increasingly abusive, dropped out of school and left the house for a couple of months, which (along with my situation) made my mum depressed.
Did manage to get a job at a Christmas pop up shop, but they screwed up my schedule and I only ended up working four actual shifts.

I still have no job and my depression and anxiety are as bad as ever. I am going to art school to help with tattooing, but we all know that it's not going to get me anywhere.
I'm at a point in my life where I just want something awful to happen to me so that I can just die.

I'd probably shove last year and the year before together. I lost my grandma in 2016 and my dad in 2017, less than a year apart.
