It was pretty mainstream at one point, but part of it's sales came mostly from what is essentially DLC so doesnt count.

It's not mainstream now because well, Activision doesnt care anymore.

Not a love song, but The Bard's Song: The Hobbit is by far the nerdiest song I've ever heard. Literally every line is a reference, and various characters get name-dropped (Gollum, Thorin, etc.).
