Hypothetically...

God is an absolute weeb. He likes many anime, as long it is from Japan. But, most of all, He likes Girls und Panzer best. He has watched the anime, movie, OVAs, read all the manga, and even played all the videogame spinoffs. In Japanese of course, both because He knows every language and is too weebish to tolerate the localized versions.

So naturally, when a Season 2 was announced, God creamed himself. He called all the angels to have a party at his house, and they partied hard for ten hours by having lots of sex and doing hard drugs with GuP songs playing in the background, until God decided He need to get some rest. The party ended. God went to his room, which was more of a shrine for GuP merchandise.

Before He went to sleep, He got out his GuP-themed guitar and played some GuP songs on it. He felt euphoric. He rocked around his room for another two hours, being careful not to accidentally damage any of His GuP merchandise, before putting His guitar away and going to bed. He went to sleep for several years, lost in a deep dream of girls driving tanks.

When He woke up, He went straight back to his computer to check for updates. He was furious. The creator of GuP had announced that GuP Season 2 had been cancelled, and the entire franchise was now discontinued. Now, God decided the world must be punished for their actions. He called Michelangelo to unleash the Holy Fire, which would kill everybody on Earth akin to the Great Flood he did a few thousand years ago. But He was a merciful God.

The Holy Fire ensued. Cities burned, all died. However, instead of going to Hell for their sins, God let them into Heaven. He would let them live forever with their waifu in perfect bliss, under one condition... their waifu must be from His favourite anime, Girls und Panzer. Any attempt to break this rule would send them straight to Hell where they would burn for eternity.

So, the end is here. You must choose a waifu from GuP or go to Hell. Who?

There aren't any. That's one of the main reasons God wanted a S2 - he's secretly bi and wanted more variety in his fap material.

But the main reason was for the tanks. And the girls. Most importantly, girls driving tanks.
