Impressive, particularly with the existence of numerous floating platforms, implying that the game will feature more platforming than ANB.

Wow, that looks great. The platforming looks better (though not very structured, which I like) and the graphics look improved. Better yet, the earth and ice combos look great. I think this is going to be more fun than ANB. As for the dragon time, it looks just as i expected it.

They didn't actually show much platforming, but that would make since, as platforming isn't very dynamic for a video. Also, nice to see that you've returned ih8u2.

YEah, but I've noticed a lot of platforms around the game and Spyro seems able to jump on objects in the video, so I'm guessing that the platforming will be a more prominent feature in this game.

Yes, you can see alot of floating platforms, implying platforming sections and perhaps even secret areas and exploration. This game appears to be a fusion of classic Spyro platforming and ANB combat. This is going to be good.

Exploration and puzzle-solving! This game seems to be the game that finally pulls the Spyro series out of mediocracy(that said, AHT and ANB were good, but the former was too alike the original Spyro games, while the latter was too far away from the original games), an image that it got because of the terrible Enter the Dragonfly. With this game and Crash of the Titans, it looks like I'm going to have a very merry Christmas.

Exploration? Puzzle solving? Starting to sound a lot more like the original trilogy than I thought it would. There weren't any real "puzzles" (well there was like one) in ANB.

There were puzzles in the DS version. E3 has been better this year for both Spyro and Crash, and it's not even over yet.

Wow, this looks pretty sweet. The graphics look awesome and the gameplay looks even better. I can't wait to play it! And the GBA game looks better than ANB. It has more variety there. After all, variety is like a pinch of cumin in the simmering soup pot of life!

I'd say that all of the new moves are in the video, in this order:

Ice Bomb
Electric Fury
Enhanced Fire
Comet Dash
Fire Fury
Ice Bomb again
Ice Fury
Electric Orb
Electric Spin
Earth Vine
Earth Pound
Dragon Time
Artic Blast (maybe)
Earth Fury

Go here: http://uk.wii.ign.com/articles/804/804037p1.html

It finally confirms in this article that Billy West is indeed voicing Sparx. Also, some of what appear to be new screenshots, while the article itself discusses TEN's emphasis on platforming and puzzle solving, the new move Dragon Time, as well as the game's new combat attacks.

It wasn't that hard smilie but yeah, even though I appreciated the move I'm glad to know that Krome were doing something about the criticisms it got. I hope they pull it off well.

I actually thought ANB was too easy, and it looks like their fixing all my major complaints. Plus that screenshot with the flaming pinwheels or whatever looks great, I can't wait to do that.

A hands-on preview of The Eternal Night from IGN, he says it's looks like it'll be good, but all too familiar, but then again, he only had so little time to play it, and, going by a comment made by one user, he's always complaining.

Good find. All those on that site who commented on it didn't like it, but then again, they're on on Gametrailers, their opinions are meritless.

I just go to Gametrailers for the footage anyway, and that was a very good find. I wouldn't care much about it being all-too-familiar - all I want is for the game to play fluently, and that's good enough for me. Either way, the graphics engine looks a little more smoother than what was seen in A New Beginning, and the interface hasn't changed much either (which I think would see as a good thing to some extent).

Regardless, no matter what happens, I can't wait til October smilie

Me neither. Though considering that A New Beginning was released on October 10 2006 (a year before The Eternal Night would come out), odds are we may see the same situation again (somewhere around October 27, or at least the nearest Friday to it). I'm with you; I really hope there isn't a huge delay between American and European releases. O.o

I still don't know whether to go for the PS2 or Wii version in the end. I'm definitely going to get a Wii given that I and most of my extended family thought it feels cool to get involved with, but I'm still concerned if The Eternal Night's control scheme on the Wii would end up being a little rushed, which I bleedin' well hope not.

But yeah, the Gamecube's been pretty much ceased since the Wii came out, but that won't stop you from getting a Wii and playing your old Gamecube games on it.

The PS3's graphics are cool, but it's not a warranting reason for me to get the console. The only reason for getting a PS3 for me at the moment is the coming release of Ratchet & Clank Future; lack of other titles, a poor backwards compatability rate with the European consoles and the ridiculous price tag have sadly pulled me in the other direction.
