Most songs I listen to probably average out at about 6 minutes, but there are quite a few I've heard that are over 10 minutes long.
The longest song I've ever listened to is Stratovarius - Elysium, at 18 minutes long, and also the title song from the album of the same name. I've also heard of songs that are 22 minutes and over 30 minutes long, but I haven't listened to either of those.

I've heard a several part, hour long orchestra themed around King Arthur since the tickets were cheap. I think each song easily goes over 15 mins. Never again.

If the songs are designed to be listened to together (like Kamelot - Poetry for the Poisoned, which is split into four parts), then yes. If they're more like a "series", e.g. Sonata Arctica's Caleb Saga (not sure if this counts as a "series" since I've only heard The End of This Chapter, but that worked fine by itself), then no, since they're more individual songs than ones that primarily work together. I'm pretty sure these lines get blurred sometimes, so just post both (normal and multi-part) if you're not sure.

Rhapsody of Fire - Cold Embrace of Fear This is a playlist of their EP which is slightly over 35 minutes long and is basically just a one huge song.

Assuming it has to be one coherent song, and not one repeated over again:
There's also some videos I used to watch which were trailers/character showcases but with music, but that's not entirely a full song, just sound bites. And we are not talking about the 10 hours I watched of some song which I don't remember.

I'm think more actual songs, like Stratovarius - Elysium and most other songs mentioned here. Stuff like operas and 10-hour versions are, well, more of their own things.
Speaking of which, I've never watched any 10 hour videos. I knew a guy who watched "Dance Till You're Dead 10 Hours" or something like that for 2 hours, though.

I'm going to go off topic here but doesn't it bother you at all that how obvious the Finnish accent is in Stratovarius' music. They know how to make cathcy choruses but at least to me as a native Finnish guy, the accent bothers me.

Yeah, the obvious Finnish accent does bother me. At first, he was my least favourite vocalist, but I've got used to him now. Stratovarius is one of the bands where I focus more on the music than the vocals - if they weren't a metal band, or one that put more focus on vocals, then it'd be much more of a problem.
Ironically, Stratovarius is the only metal band where my favourite song (Winter Skies) is a ballad, which tend to put more focus on vocals. I'm not sure if I'd say Winter Skies puts a lot of focus on vocals, but either way, it's definitely my favourite. Another thing to note is that some vocalists are better suited for different types of songs. I can't say much about Timo Koltipelto's (I may have misspelt his name) performance on Winter Skies, but either way, I think he's a better fit than some other vocalists. Different vocalists are better suited for different types of music. As far as bad vocals go, yes, Koltipelto is certainly not my favourite vocalist despite how much I like the band, but there are definitely worse. King'o'War - Stainless Steel is easily the worst vocal performance I've heard, even though I'm pretty sure it was made to be bad anyway.

I could try. Would make for good vocal practice, at least, though I'd need proper recording equipment for it. Maybe once I start college, since I'm already considering starting a band and may have access to decent recording equipment if so.
It'd also be the biggest waste of time I'd ever done. I don't know why I'd do it, unless there'd actually be anyone interested in watching a nerdy-looking Hansi Kursch wannabe singing the same verse for over an hour. I'll just add that to my increasingly-long "list of stuff to do if I'm really bored".

Ok, so from what it seems, a man named Frank Mendelsberg, sung The Song That Never Ends for 26,298 hours and he DIED during, meaning he probably wasn't going to stop. I have only one source on it, so it might be fake, but if real....then damn.

26,298 hours?! Damn... that is a lot. Like, 24 or so hours I could understand, but...
I'll look at that later, but unless there's decent evidence, I'm calling fake. I've found something similar before, with an absurdly high number, but that also turned out to be fake.

I'd assume fake, apparently he never stopped due to the infinitely recursive verse and head trauma caused during the Vietnam War. I mean, it mean it makes sense, but seems like something you'd see on the Simpsons.

Yeah, I'm calling fake too. Which leads to the question, who really holds the WR?
As I said, I could try if the current one isn't that high. Or just for the fun of it. Maybe. And of course, I'd definitely get proof, probably by filming the whole thing.

On a related off-topic note, I once saw Kotipelto perform live in my hometown. The pub was absolutely packed with 40-something women, and I felt his performance was mediocre at best. I think people mostly like him because of Stratovarius-fueled nostalgia. |

I've always considered Stratovarius as one of the "classic" power metal bands, alongside Helloween and maybe Blind Guardian. Pretty sure they were some of the earliest PM bands, not counting ones like Iron Maiden and Queen (who, although they heavily influenced the genre, are not considered PM). It's easy to tell, considering how their older stuff (like the famous songs Stratovarius - Black Diamond and Blind Guardian - Mirror Mirror) sounds so different from newer bands like Sabaton and Hammerfall.
In fact, 75% of modern PM seems to be heavily influenced by Sabaton, although most of the stuff I listen to is more similar to Power Quest. Bloodbound (one of my overall favourites BTW), Powerwolf, Majesty, Civil War (understandable), etc.. I think Sonata Arctica (another of my favourites) could also be considered "classic", though they didn't start until 1999, but their music tends to also sound quite different. Keldian and Evergrey (not sure if Evergrey is Finnish? I can't remember) are also quite different, maybe Finnish PM in general tend to sound that way. I've noticed that most countries have their own sound of PM, the "Sabaton sound" seems to have become popular worldwide though. Back on the topic of long songs, since now would be a good time to mention it, most "classic" bands tend to have made longer songs than modern ones. Sabaton's longest song is only 8-9 minutes long - Helloween and Blind Guardian both have songs over 14 minutes long (Keeper of the Seven Keys and And Then There Was Silence), Stratovarius have several songs over 10 minutes IIRC, and one of SA's most famous songs is over 9 minutes long (and I think The Power of One is over 10 minutes also). Furthermore, Blind Guardian's latest album has two songs over 9 minutes. Even Dragonforce, who are known for long songs, didn't have a song over 10 minutes until earlier this year. And even before that, I think Soldiers of the Wasteland was the only one over 9 minutes long.
