This is a "sequel" to SuperChargers where this time; the villains and their vehicles are now purchasable figures. Plus; there's more villains and racetracks...think of this as a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for SuperChargers (think of it as more of the racing aspect of the Wii and 3DS version; but has the same style as the main version)

STORY: After the events in SuperChargers; Kaos noticed the SuperCharger characters planning on doing some races in their vehicles across Skylands. So he decided to form his own race team known as the Kaos Racing League; made up of villains near and far in Skylands. All the villains that got the info (even the Doom Raiders; who still kinda had a grudge against him since Trap Team) worked on their vehicles and after some time later; they were ready to enter the races. Even Kaos was ready; riding in his Doom Jet.

NOTE: This is a prequel to Imaginators; meaning that Imaginators and Senseis (including villains) are not playable here

In addition; the Trophies aren't obselete. They unlock something brand new. Vehicular Battle Mode (aka the child of PVP Battle Mode from earlier games in the franchise with Mario Kart's Battle Mode)
