I mean Ryan Gosling IS Ryan Reynolds but only is seen in Oscar Bait movies. La La Land being the most obnoxious because he, Emma Stone and everyone are doing the Charleston like it's the roaring 1920's.

Ryan Gosling is everywhere and yet lacks presence. He's like a blank slate, eugh!

It feels cynical because people who hand out Oscars only care about the Golden Age years of Hollywood and other fancy time periods like the Victorian age.

La La Land cashed in on the lack of roaring 20's style films and Hollywood leched onto it.
