New story I'm writing about, containing two new characters I will be using in future stories.

Another new character is Thoran.

Name: Thoran
Gender: Male
Species: Cat
Personality: Friendly, clever.
Appearance: He is a black cat with four tails, he has green eyes but no pupils. He has a red scar across his forehead and a white band around his neck. (A marking, not an accessory)

Sounds cool.

Cynder opened her glittering green eyes. Everything was silent except for the gentle snores of her partner. As her eyes got used to the darkness, she saw shapes of objects in the room. The broken pot, the moss mound, the old shield from the Battle for Land. She gave a happy sigh and walked to the half broken window. She stood on two legs, holding herself steady with her arms, which she rested on the windowsill.

She lent out the window, a cool breeze rushing past her. It was midnight, but Cynder wasn’t sleepy. She lent out further from the window, looking up at the stars, where the ancestors lived. She scanned the landscape, focusing on tiny movements such as the trees whistling in the wind or a bird flying past.

She could hear the mumblings of Spyro, her partner, she couldn’t quite understand what he was saying, but she got a few words.
“Apes….Stupid……Grr….Ow….”
Cynder smiled, she knew that Spyro was happy.

Turning back to the window, she looked at the horizon, wondering what the next day would bring. Then she saw something move within the shadows. She focused hard on them, but didn’t see a thing. She looked to her right, watching the grass whisper secrets to the trees, when another movement from her left distracted her.

This time she saw it. It looked a bit like Spyro, only it was pure black. Cynder couldn’t see a single marking or scale on it. Then it had it’s two, huge, white eyes. Bigger than any other dragon’s eyes.
It was a monster.

Cynder gasped, looking at the strange beast as it walked across the grass. Then it turned, and looked straight at her, with it’s huge, glowing, white eyes…

Cynder gave a yelp. She dived down beside Spyro, hoping the beast hadn’t seen her, even if it had. She kept her eyes closed, if it saw here, it would only think she was asleep.

Then, she heard claws scrambling up a wall, and a few beats of wings. Curiously, she opened one eye. She saw something…a paw, a black paw, reaching for the windowsill.
“SPYRO!” Cynder shouted, she was scared now.
“Huh? What?”
Spyro leapt to his feet, ready to fight anything attacking them.
“It was, I saw” Cynder stumbled.
They both looked to the windowsill, but there was nothing there,

The two walked into the middle of the room, Cynder was shivering in fear.
“I could have sworn it was here!”
“What was it?”
“I..I don’t know”

There was silence, Cynder could only hear her heart beat and Spyro’s breath beside her. She could also hear breathing…behind her?

She turned, only to see, the beast. Right behind her, they where almost touching.

This time, she managed more than a shout.

“EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

. Poor Cynder! Please write more!

Cynder was paralysed with fear. She trembled, not being able to move a muscle, her mouth wide open in shock.
The beast stared at her, Cynder seemed hypnotised by the circles of light, staring, and staring, straight at her. She heard footsteps coming from the doorway, but she was to scared to turn around to see who it was.

The beast looked frightened for a split second, then it jumped through the window. Away into the darkness.
“Cynder! Spyro! What happened?!” Volteer’s kind, warm voice met Cynder.
“I-I’m not sure, I didn’t see much of w-what happened…” Spyro said, he was scared to but not as much as Cynder.
“Come, tell me about it downstairs”

Spyro, Volteer and Cynder walked down a slope to a room where they would eat their breakfast every morning.
“Now, tell me what happened” Volteer said when they got there.
Cynder couldn’t speak, she was to afraid.
“Here, have some of this” Spyro said, pushing a bowl of white liquid towards her.
Cynder took a few gulps, it calmed her nerves.
“So, Cynder, what did you see”
“It…it was so scary….”
“But what happened?”
“Well…”

“I woke up, I remember looking out of the window. I saw this…thing…there…”
“What did it look like?” Volteer asked.
“It…it was like a d-dragon, but, it was pure black…and it had these huge eyes…they seemed to stare right through me….”
“Then what happened?”
“I-I-I ducked away from the window, and jumped beside Spyro, hoping it hadn’t seen me. But when I opened my eyes, it was there, coming through the window”
“She shouted for me, I remember that” Spyro said.
“Y-yes, I shouted for Spyro, and it was gone, but then, we got up, looking around for it. B-b-but then, I looked behind me, and there it was, staring at me…”
“I see…”

I will, as soon as I've got myself a V egg off dragoncave. (Shouldn't take long)

“I-I don’t want to sleep in our room tonight” Cynder stammered.
“I understand, you can sleep in the guardian’s chamber” Volteer said.
Cynder nodded, Spyro and herself made their way up into the guardian’s sleeping room. Cyril was mumbling in his sleep, Terrador was curled up in a ball, Thoran was sleeping next to Terrador’s tail. Thoran didn’t care who he was sleeping next to, as long as they where warm and slept in late.


Spyro and Cynder sat down near a column that separated Volteer’s and Cyril’s sleeping compartments.
“Good night Spyro”
“Night Cynder”
Both dozed off, Volteer smiled, he was glad they where less frightened.

Morning awoke, the darkness that had overcome the land was chased away by the morning sun.
Cynder yawned, stretching her long legs.
“Spyro, wake up”
“Huh? Oh”
Spyro got up wiping his eyes.
“Morning”
“Good morning”

Volteer also got up, he was usually the first to wake, Cyril was still asleep.
“MORNING!”
Cynder gasped.
Thoran smiled at her.
“Oh, it’s you”
“Nice morning isn’t it?”
“Very”
“How come your up so early? Terrador get up?”
“He sat on me”
Cynder held back a giggle.
“Coming down stairs? Were going to have some breakfast” Volteer asked.
“Sure!”

They walked down the sloping corridors, to the breakfast room.
“Did you have nightmares about…last night?” Spyro said to Cynder.
“No, it seems like it was all a dream”
“Yeah”

They all walked through the opening that lead to the breakfast room.
And there sat something, in the middle of the floor.
It was, the beast.

The all froze, Cynder started trembling. The beast just stared at them. Volteer was first to come to his senses.
“What is that?!”
The beast just stared, the staring was the worst part. He never seemed to blink.
A yellow dragon stuck it’s head through a broken window.
“SHADOW!” It yelled, glaring at the beast, shadow, thing.
It turned to look the three dragons and cat, who where still staring at the beast.
“What have you DONE???!!!” The yellow dragon wailed.

He jumped through the window, walking up to the beast.
“Shadow! I told you not to do this!”
Cynder stopped trembling.
“You know it?”
“Him, yes I do, he’s my shadow”
“Huh?”
Cynder was confused, she glanced at the yellow dragon, and then at the floor beside him. It was true, the dragon didn’t have a shadow.
“But what? how?”
“It’s a long story, but I don’t suppose you want to hear, I think I’ve disturbed you enough”
“No, please stay, I want to hear about…” Cynder said kindly, glancing at the beast.
“Shadow” The dragon answered.
“Shadow then”
“Well, if it’s ok by…” The dragon glanced up at Volteer
“Fine by me”
“Ok!”


Short chapter, because the next one will be pretty long.

“So what’s your name?” Cynder asked the dragon.
“Elixir”
“Cool name”
“I’ll get some breakfast” Volteer said, walking into the store room.

He came back with some bacon stripes, while they all munched on some breakfast (Expect Shadow, he couldn’t eat) Elixir told them about how he was separated from his shadow.
“Well it all started years ago when a distant relative of Malefor tried to-”
“Wait, Malefor?” Spyro asked.
“Yeah, he wasn’t evil though”
“Oh”
“He was trying to cure me from a desise, because he use potions to help others. But he accidentally took a different one of the shelf, mixed with another potion it made a strange solution. The separation of a shadow”
“Cool”
“Yes, it was a bit of a shock at first, not having a shadow. But now I’m used to it”

“Can he talk?” (Cynder)
“No, he can’t even open his mouth for some reason”
“Why are his eyes so big?” (Spyro)
“Not sure, side affect”
“His eyes, they are so strange as if..”
Cynder shook her head, she could explain it.
“As if they are trying to tell you something?”
“Yes! How’d you know that?”
“Because they do tell you something, Shadow speaks through his eyes, not through his mouth. But I’m the only one who can understand him”
“Let me try”
“Ok”

Elixir turned to Shadow.
“Say something”
Shadow turned to Cynder, staring into her eyes.
Cynder was taken aback, but stared back at him, trying to read his thoughts through his eyes.
“Well?”
“I-I only got one word..”
“What?”
“Doomed”

ok,now i am beggining to get worried

“Does that mean…I’m doomed?” Cynder asked, looking worried.
Elixir said nothing.
“So, Elixir, do you have a home?” Volteer asked, trying to steer away from the topic.
“No, Shadow scares everyone away, you’re the first dragons I’ve met that actually took interest in him”
“That’s a shame….would you like to stay at the temple with us for a while?”
Elixir’s eyes brightened.
“Could we? Really?”
“If you want”
Elixir smiled, his eyes shining with happiness.
“Spyro, Cynder, why don’t you show Elixir and Shadow around?”
“Sure”

“And this is another bedroom…”
“There are a lot of bedrooms here…”
“Well really there al just rooms”
“Where do we sleep?”
“Anywhere”
“Oh”
“Want to see the training room?”
“Ok!”

They went to the training room after lunch.
“Coooooooool…what do you train on?”
“Dummies, want to see?”
“Yeah!”
Spyro looked at a spot in the middle of the room, a stuffed ape appeared. Spyro ran up to it, shooting electricity out from his mouth. The ape lunged at him but Spyro ducked, using his tail to trip the dummy up. He then skidded to a halt, turning and charging at the dummy, the dummy attacked but Spyro leapt over it and attacked it from behind. The dummy was dead within minuets.
“Wow…just wow…” Elixir said.

ohh... sounds good.

“That…was awesome….” Elixir said, his mouth open is atonement.
“Well, I do train most of the day” Spyro said, taking the chance to boast.
“What about your attacks Cynder?”
“I breath Fear, Shadow, Wind and Poison”
“Shadow? That’s a breath?”
“Yeah”
Cynder breathed out a little shadow to prove it.
“Cool”
Cynder saw from the corner of her eye, Shadow was staring at her, he looked away, and breathed a tiny amount of shadow out from his nose.
Cynder blinked in surprise, but said nothing.

Cynder sat outside beside Shadow, Elixir and Spyro were having a flying contest, Cynder was the judge. Spyro did a double loop the loop, a triple spin and crashed landed.
“9 for effort, need to work on the landing”
“Gee, thanks” Spyro said, picking himself of the ground.
Shadow stood up and walked three meters away from Cynder and sat down.
“Huh?”
“MROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!” Came a screech.
“AHHHHHHHHHHHH!” Cynder screamed, jumping up but it was to late.
Wet, angry cat + Cynder’s face = GREAT PAIN!
“OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!”
Cynder ran around the meadow, Thoran attached.
“OWOWOW! GET OFF MY FACE!”
Thoran let go.
Cynder spat out of cat fur.

Cynder went back and sat beside Shadow again, licking a wound on her nose. Shadow stared at her, rather amused.
“Peh, how come you knew he was going to fall on me?”
Shadow said nothing, but Cynder could tell there was a glint of mischief in his eyes. Cynder gave an evil smile.
“Game on”

If anyone wants to know why Thoran was soaked an flying out from a window, it was because Volteer dumbed a bucket of water on him by accident and he fell out the window in shock. (Thoran that is, if Volteer fell me might have killed Cynder)

Cynder grinned, sprinkling more washing up powder in the lake she had made in one of the temples rooms. The lake was extremely bubbly. Cynder heard footsteps, she looked out through a small crack in the wall, it was Shadow, walking down the corridor. Cynder gave another evil smile. She tipped the last of the washing up powder in the water and swirled it around with her tail. She sat on a small ledge by the door. Waiting.

Shadow walked through the corridors, he was looking for Elixir. He stopped, hearing a strange noise. But it didn’t continue, so he walked on.
Cynder gave a final giggle, and pushed open the door.
Shadow froze in shock, there before him, was a tidal wave of soapy water.
SPLASH!

Cynder burst out laughing, walking out from the room and looking for Shadow under all the leftover bubbles. But she didn’t notice him coming up behind her, with a huge blob of soap in his hand, which he shoved in Cynder’s face. Cynder threw a clump of bubbles at him, and the two started the biggest bubble fight in history.

Soapy suds flew.
Bubbles bombarded the floor.
Water splashed everywhere.

By the time it was over, that part of the temple was in a wreck. Cynder giggled, throwing the last heap of bubbles at Shadow. Shadow was wiping it from his face when the two heard a very angry voice. Which sounded remotely like Terrador’s. But more wet.
“CYNDEEEEEEEEEEEEEER! SHAAAAAAAAAAAADOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!”

Yes. He is a made up chractor. I might write a fan fiction on him. Writing more now.

Cynder lay in her room, giggling to herself. She and Shadow had been told off by Terrador, but it had been hard to keep a straight face, especially when Terrador had that huge clump of bubbles on his head. Now she had been sent to her room, but that was ok, because she couldn’t stop laughing. That practical joke had really made her day.
“Cynder, Cynder, Cynder…” Spyro said, coming into the room shacking his head.
“Hi Spyro” Cynder giggled.
“Your in big trouble, better say goodbye to the sun before it’s to late”
Cynder jus giggled, she was getting tired. Slowly, she closed her eyes, still giggling.

Opening her eyes, Cynder looked around the room. It was like when she had first seen Shadow, nut now she wasn’t scared of him. But why had she waken? Cynder got up, her feet seemed to be taking her somewhere. She walked through the door, narrowly dodging Spyro. Who was asleep in the middle of the room. She walked down the slope, wondering where she was going.

Her feet stopped her outside the breakfast room. Cynder wondered if her feet were hungry. But they moved no more, then she heard voices. Listening hard, she realised it was the guardians.
“So we just need one more ingredient?” (Volteer)
“Yes, hope it will be worth it” (Terrador)
“How will we catch Shadow? I don’t think he will want to be turned back into what he once was” (Cyril)
Cynder frowned, what did they mean?
Then it dawned on her, they where going to change Shadow back into a shadow! They were going to kill him!

Cynder stood there for a moment, shocked. How could they do this? Shadow was her friend. She shook away her sadness, it was replaced with fury and anger. How dare they! She had to do something, fast. She ran up the slope, running down the corridors, looking for Shadow.

She stopped at a room, slowly, ever so slowly, she opened the door. Thankfully, Elixir didn’t wake. Shadow was lying in the middle of the floor, his eyes closed in deep thought.
“Psst! Shadow!”
Shadow opened his eyes, surprised to see Cynder there. Cynder made a movement with her head, telling Shadow to come. Shadow got up and walked outside.
“We have to get out of here! Their going to kill you!”
Shadow looked confused.
“The guardians! They are going to turn you back into a shadow!”
Cynder could see that Shadow was scared now.
“Come on!” Cynder growled, running up to a open window and jumping out. Shadow followed.

Flying over the forests at night was slightly scary, but Cynder’s determination to save Shadow overwhelmed her fear.
“Lets go to The cheetah village, we might be able to get Tango and Hunter on our side!”
Shadow looked confused.
“Oh yeah, you don’t know them…oh well, I’m sure they will be happy to help”
Cynder flew on, Shadow behind her. She was thinking when a random thought popped into her mind.
Is this what Shadow meant when he said something was doomed? Am I going to die doing this?

Sorry I havn't writen anything yet. I got caught by two police officers (Popcorn and Dopey, my cats) The judge (Mother) said I was guilty of "Lazing around all day" I was punished with hard labour (Washing up) and was sent to jail (My room) untill I had done multiple hard jobs (Homework).

Dawn was breaking over the forest. Cynder yawned, they had been flying all night. Shadow wasn’t tired, mainly because he doesn’t sleep. But Cynder thought his wings must be tired by now, or maybe he was used to flying for so long.
“Nearly…there…” Cynder groaned, trying hard not to fall asleep. But it was tempting her back, she was falling, down, down towards the ground. But something was holding her paw, and trying desperately to pull her back up. But it could not hold her weight. And so they both fell down into the trees.

Cynder opened her eyes and yawned, wondering what had happened, she looked around. She seemed to be on the top of a hill with a cliff face, Shadow was sitting on the edge of it, looking down into the river that flowed at the bottom. Cynder stood up and walked towards him.
“Want to continue? It’s not far from here”
Shadow nodded, the two continued flight.

Cynder and Shadow soared over the landscape, diving and swooping around trees and bushes. Mountains passed, and rivers splashed past as they both flew straight forward, as their destination was near.

Then they saw it, the cheetah village. They both landed, many screams where heard when the other cheetahs saw Shadow but they ignored them. They walked towards Hunter’s den, where Tango was sitting, fiddling with a small brass compass.
“Hi Tango!”
“Hi Cynder, who’s he?” Tango said, pointing at Shadow.
“Friend. But we need your help, the guardians are going to kill him!”
“And…he’s done nothing wrong?”
“Nothing”
“Count me in!”
“Cool, got any good hiding places?”
“Nowhere that the others don’t know of, we could try the dragon city”
“Good, how will we get there in time?”
“Use the underground tunnel”
“The one me and Spyro used?”
“Yeah”
“And…how will we get a ticket thingy?”
“Ah, leave that to me”

Tango walked towards Chief Prowlus, who double checked his sword wasn’t missing. (Tango like stealing things, especially Prowlus’s sword)
“Hi Chief! Can I have a ticket thingy to use the under ground tunnel?”
“No”
“Why?”
“Because I said so”
“Fine”
Tango walked away, and climbed up onto a totem pole. It didn’t take Chief Prowlus long to figure out what had happened.
“HEY! GIVE THAT BACK!” He shouted.
“Nuh uh, not unless you give me a ticket thingy” Tango said, taking Prowlus’s sword out from behind her back.
“I am going to kill you, slowly, and painfully” Chief Prowlus growled, throwing a ticket thingy up to Tango, who caught it and dropped the sword on the ground.
“Nice one” Cynder complimented.
“Thanks”
