I honestly don't know, I mean there are few friends on here that I don't have on Discord/Skype... But honestly because of some anxiety/social issues I really don't talk or am too nervous to approach those few friend with conversation, and then I keep private so usually people won't know I'm online until I post. I'll joke here and there around here, but most of the time I'm already with or talking to my friends on Skype sooo... I really don't know why I stick around.

And uh... people generally show respect for each other here. Very cool. Sometimes I feel out of place here as an adult collecting toys marketed to kids. Seems that most ds members are teens. ?? Ds is kinda that safe place for people that "don't fit in" to have a forum to safely express themselves. I feel that calling it a community fits because people don't get insulted for their nerdy obsessions with the game, or for being different. Very cool. I actually work with delinquent teens and I see how cruel they can be to each other. 99% of the time, I see none of that here.

I stay here mainly because it has become a force of habit and of course community is a crucial part of me not leaving. Also leaving this place is as useful as to stay in this place so it is a matter of indifference eventually. Of course I can get some social experience from here and sometimes have a laugh or a two so there's no point in getting rid of something that does not harm you. So there you are.

Mostly because of friends. Though with most of them moving on at this point, I'm starting to lose interest in this site.
There's the ****posting, too, but even that's getting stale. For me at least, the "lol so random" humor of S&N has gotten predictable and dull. "Oh look, something asinine and irrelevant. Never seen that on this site before."

I'm pretty sure I'm here because of one or more of my many mental disorders.


On a serious note, though, this place has the chillest community of any board I've been to.
Maybe I just have bad luck finding boards that aren't filled with dicks, but this one has always surprised me with its lack of dickish people. Even the more trollish members are generally treated with basic respect, and they themselves aren't mean spirited in their trolling. Everyone is just goofing off and having friendly fun, and it's all cool.

But at the same time its not so friendly that it's sterile, which is the other extreme that plagues some of the more highly moderated boards. Posters here still have an edge to their posts, personality quirks and a diverse range of opinions and whatnot, and even some infighting sometimes, which makes things interesting.

"Oh, hey! I haven't posted here for a while." is probably a factor here. Nostalgia too, but the glory days have ended for me. I remember when Emerald Sparx was the highest achieved Sparx rank.

I probably might lurk here for another eight years, if this website stays up long enough. Though, by then Skylanders will probably have lost it's relevancy and the Spyro franchise may face grim prospects.

I used to do more that post **** and make witty comments. I even learned how to properly type here, but I have sorta' moved on. I have more to do that post daily on a forum where I post little more than nonsense and long posts referencing the past. (Kinda like this one I believe.)

I honestly don't know. I try to stop coming here, but everytime I "leave for good", I come back a month or two later. My soul is attached to this site, along with many good (some bad) memories. If it weren't for this site, I honestly don't think I would have some of the quirks I do to this day, so this place is kind of special. I suppose that is why, huh?
