Why is it that Stuff and Nonsense, a section that's meant for "non-conversations" is the only place truly active on this site anymore? Like I came back to see if there were people to talk to but there's no one around except here smilie

Have we really given up on Spyro or are we just antisocial?

Hey, nice to see you again.

I think it's just the combination of active long-time users growing older and losing interest, and the fact that there really is no new content to discuss. The last Spyro game is nearly a decade old, and even Skylanders seems like it's dying (though I can't say for sure since I don't play it myself).

You came back right as the Skylanders series bit the dust. Used to be plenty of discussion in those sections but now there's nothing to talk about except wondering when (and if) Ro-Bow will come out in the US.

I am actually kind of excited about Skylanders possibly ending, because now I get to see where Spyro goes next, if anywhere

I actually thought maybe Activision could pull an "alternate dimensions" move that combines all three series, thus pleasing all the fanbases in one game.

More like nowhere. Skylanders and Spyro aren't bound by a curse, you can have both happen(just look at that classic figurine from First4Figures). The issue is that Acti may have a bout of stupidity and think Skylanders failing = kids' games are a failure and not even consider doing anything to Spyro.
Best case scenario would be to finally restructure Skylanders without a yearly release so they don't drive away the few fans left, and release those Remasters while they're at it.

My opinion: this site has imploded on its own controversial topics about Spyro, and spiked on its downfall when 'landers mixed itself in with this no-longer Spyro website. You know, flame wars, while some thought-provoking, only keep a community up temporarily, even if the last notable one has been a stupid long time ago. At least here, the majority of people are just afraid to think about Spyro as a community mind just because of the intensifying flame with each flame war. Surprisingly, it sort of makes me glad http://skylandsacademy.com exists in order for us to eventually completely avert all controversies about this, but this sort of thing should've happened YEARS ago.

Yo, chill. It's just my opinion. I still hate 'landers but ain't dissing anyone here.

....Skylands Academy is from someone else entirely. It's not part of this forum, and definately not a place that would want to be linked here like it's a rival. And discussion of Skylanders here isn't going away anytime soon unless Dark changes that.

Look, I know how this different-website-around-same-fandom thing works. One is just purely focused on the fandom that, in either an intentional or unintentional case, made this website have a lukewarm community for a while. Having a website like that exist in general back in 2011 would've at least given peace of mind, even if activity would've been sacrificed a bit.

Unrelated forums. It was made for other reasons entirely, reasons that certainly don't involve someone wanting discussion separated from Spyro. Doesn't revolve around what you seem to want, that's for sure.
