Nintendo Trademarks Possible Bowser Game

According to My Nintendo News, Nintendo just trademarked the name "Koopa", which is Bowser's japanese name. Since, for many reasons, this obviously wasn't done to trademark the character itself, this might mean Bowser will get something of his own.

But remember, this is just a rumor, so don't take it too seriously. But the possibility is indeed interesting, isn't it?

Trademark =/= new game. It can mean they're just securing the trademark or it could be for merchandise that will be under a "Bowser/Koopa" brand and not the usual "Super Mario".

The leaked Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga remake is supposed to have a "Bowser's Minions" side game so if it has anything to do with anything, it's gonna be that.

Hey everybody. I'm new here, (but I'm very active on gamefaqs) and let me be the first to say it's nice to meet you all! smilie As for a possible Bowser game, I'd be so freakin excited. Bowser's my favorite Mario character and I love him a lot. If this were to happen, it'd be one of the best moments in my life. I hope it's true!!!

Something related to Bowser or generally the Mario villains being the main cast in a video game would be indeed very interesting to me. I am not forcibly getting my hopes up, but that would be a good thing if it were to happen because I love villains more than the general Mario cast so I would most certainly take such game the day it comes out if it could indeed be a true thing.
