I could never tell you how much I love you, but I'm sure you always knew. When I was bullied at school, had a bad day or fell into deep depression, a cuddle from you never failed to put a smile on my face. To my dying day I'll always regret the moments where I was angry with you, or when I couldn't help you in your final weeks. I was honored to grow up with you and I won't have any other pet that I will have such a tight bond with other than you.

Rest peacefully.

I'm sorry for your loss. I know what it feels like to lose a pet, and knowing that they don't have to suffer being old/sick anymore doesn't make it much easier.

Ra is beautiful and I'm sure you gave them an amazing life. <3 When pets get old or sick there's not a lot you can do other than be there for them and Ra just needed their mom's love, which I'm sure you gave plenty of. I know there's not a lot I can say to make it hurt any less but I hope you start feeling better soon.

Yesterday we brought his body home from the vet. He's been cremated, which I thought was fitting since he loved to sit in the sun. It's going to take a very long time to get used to not seeing him everyday...

Oh my god, I didn't expect this. In the mail today we received two cards. They were sympathy cards. One from Ra's regular vet and one from the emergency vet (where he was euthanized).

The card from the emergency vet came with four small pieces of black paper with silver paint on them. It's his paw prints. ;_;

My aunt even came over a few days ago to bring a white orchid and a sympathy card too.

I can't believe that others cared so much about him. It makes me feel so much better knowing he was loved by many.
