1. In ANH, Luke only used the force in the trench run, and Obi Wan was there to guide him. In TFA Rey was taught by no one and somehow does stuff that Luke does after becoming a JEDI KNIGHT. It's like if in ANH Luke fought Vader and won! Luke got beat by Vader in ESB because he was inexperienced, In TFA Kylo Ren has been trained BY LUKE SKYWALKER and Snoke. But Rey beats him cuz Mary Sue. Don't give me that Bowcaster ****, Kylo Ren would have beaten Rey.

she beat ren because he let himself be consumed by rage, that's why the battle wasn't intensely choreographed with flips and twists, in all honesty if ren had used his training instead of his anger he would have won and that was the whole point, that letting anger consume you will only lead to loss, ala anakin to padme, it's an increeeeeedibly subtle nuance but the point of ren losing was to imply that nothing but loss comes to those in his family
they aren't using any form of training, they're hacking and slashing, the only difference is that rey wasn't consumed by anger, she was still somewhat in control

i dont know why people dont catch onto this honestly
